Blackbeards lodge is located right in the village with easy access to everything in the village. I'd recommend bringing a bike and ditching your car. The hotel itself is the oldest still in operation on the island. We stayed in the main building. The lobby is interesting and the kids got a kick out of the game room (air hockey,... More

I had the opportunity to stay here and I loved it. The bedroom was in an antique setting and lovely. The swimming pool was beautiful. Office staff was friendly. The inside was quite picturesque. Plenty of parking. This was a little more pricey than some other motels but worth it if you can splurge the extra cash.

We came in to Ocracoke for the night and needed somewhere to stay, Blackbeard's Lodge luckily had a vacancy week of July 4th. The staff was always so sweet and helpful every time we had a question about the hotel or the area. The hotel was wonderful, we will return! Rooms were clean and tidy. The hotel is very old... More

This is a charming old lodge that reminds me of a bygone era. There are interesting and quirky historical signs and mementos throughout the hotel that made me smile. The front desk of the hotel is shaped like the prow of a ship. The hotel rambles and has multiple floors and hallways and even outdoor walkways that lead to more... More

My husband and I were planning a great long Memorial Day 2016 weekend in Ocracoke. We checked into our room and not even 10 minutes into our room, BUGS all over my cell phone and computer! My husband went down to the front office and explained what we found. Chip (one of the owners) bought a spray can of bug... More

We needed a 1 night stay and this place was reasonable. The man we dealt with was very nice and helpful. We requested to see the rooms he had available and chose the king bed room. While not 5 star accommodations, it definitely has it's charm. It reminds me of a bed and breakfast, but no breakfast. The pool looked... More

We had heard about Blackbeard's Lodge as a place to stay along the Outer Banks where we could save a little on lodging. Since many of our stays were in Air bnb's we found this very homey but also very much like a place you might bring your family on summer holiday. Since we were 4 retired folks just needing... More
