We stayed at the Elephant recently in the Maharajah of Jodpur ( all the rooms have an Indian theme) . The room was very clean and comfortable with a lovely bed and high thread count bed linen. The bathroom was also very good. The dogs had a bed provided with bowls and a Bonio each. We would recommend the hotel....

We got married at The Elephant in Pangbourne on Sunday and we could not have wished for anything better. We loved the food, the atmosphere and the whole of our day, we had an amazing day and will be coming back for our anniversary. Our thanks for Claire the events coordinator, Dale the manager and the rest of the staff...

Visited here on Saturday for a wedding, lovely intimate venue, perfect if you want a smaller day. The decor was lovely, especially the chic chandeliers in the larger room, some of the guests were staying and everyone was chuckling at their room keyrings, they are hand carved elephants! Sadly we couldn't stay the evening which i deeply regret as people...

We stayed overnight as a break from our Thames Path walk, very friendly staff, great atmosphere, good food. Our dog was more than welcome - the first hotel we've stayed at where they provide dog beds, bowls and a welcome treat. Stayed in one of the Annexe rooms - very quiet, away from the road and train track. Huge comfy...

We stayed in room 1, a chic double for one night while visiting family. We were lucky enough to get the last space in the ridiculously small car park. Beware, this is operated by Parking Eye so make sure you input your car registration at reception to avoid a £100 parking charge. First the good - the room was quiet,...

Really pleased with this place - very friendly staff, great atmosphere and really reasonable price (£63 for a meal for 5 of us including a couple of drinks). Would definitely come back here if in the area. Lovely time had by all.

At short notice The Elephant booked our family in for a special dinner to celebrate our daughter's 21st. They placed us in the Trunk Room and set it up with the beautiful long backed chairs that looked like thrones. Very Game of Thrones and our daughter as very much the Khalessi of the night! Prosecco was opened and poured on...

Great little hotel, rooms were furnished well with good quality furnishings, comfy and cosy beds. I was in the annex which was very quiet and the breakfast was good quality, particularly the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Staff were great and very friendly, would definitely stay again.

We have just returned from our fourth stay at this pleasant low key hotel in the pleasant Thamesside village of Pangbourne. Large beds, very good bed linen, good breakfast and helpful staff. Our bedroom and bathroom had been recently revamped. We have, also, had Sunday lunch (roast), when in the area, and thought that was good value for a well...

A friend and I had been for a walk this morning, bright and beautiful weather but very chilly, so we wanted to stop off for a coffee in Pangbourne. Lucky for us that Costa was heaving, so we popped in to The Elephant and asked if we could just get a coffee. The staff were really lovely and welcoming. The...
