We're sharing this hesitantly - only because we selfishly love this place! Beautiful setting and super-friendly staff make the Tapoca Lodge one of our favorite weekend getaways. Pro tip: sit outside along the river, enjoy one of their regional beers and have a burger or pizza. You'll quickly forget about the real world, and be mesmerized by the river's surging...

This place is located in middle of nowhere which is great. No tvs or wifi in rooms but it feels like you stepped back in time. The lodge was decorated for xmas. The onsite restaurant is very good. The check in staff were excellent. We played board games in study and drank complimentary hot chocolate and apple cider.

We stopped here for lunch after a drive on the Tail of the Dragon. We loved that they were dog friendly. They have a nice beer selection, the food was great and the scenery was even better. Don't forget to go inside and get a souvenir from the gift shop, they have lots of cute stuff!

This was our first visit but won't be our last! The property is gorgeous, the staff wonderfully hospitable, the rooms well appointed, the food delicious. It didn't take long to adjust to no cell phone or Internet. Enjoy nature by simply exploring the river or hiking the grounds -- free breath-taking entertainment. We are very much looking forward to another...

Very nice lodge, rooms are comfortable and decorated nicely. Biggest issue: food and drink service. Very slow, only "Bea" the bartender saved the day. She's awesome, friendly and quick. Also had issues because we booked through Expedia, several guests were even turned away because of no room available. We also had issues, we booked through Expedia. The hotel called us...

We had passed by here a number of times while driving the Dragon Tail and always thought someday we have got to stop here. Saw their Thanksgiving dinner menu and decided to have dinner there & spend the night. What an awesome time we had. First of all an amazing location. The lodge is the tucked in the woods off...

I'm pretty easy to get along with, and usually forgive and forget. That won't happen this time. The maitre d at Tapoco is the worst. I'll never darken that door again. It's a shame, too. The place looks charming, and the bar downstairs was nice, and staffed by friendly people.

Larry, thank you for taking the time to reach out and share your experience. While it is our number one goal to exceed your expectations, it seems in this case your experience was less than desirable. In the spirit of ongoing improvement, it would be most valuable if we could discuss your experience in greater detail by phone. Of course,...

My wife and I visited for the first time with a group of other couples. The lodge itself was awesome. Nice fireplace and comfortable sitting areas. A good place to gather and relax as a group. The cabins were great as well. Comfortable bed and well decorated, My only complainant was water pressure in the shower. (I'm guessing it was...

Stayed here one night on a short get away weekend . Enjoyed our stay.Favorite part was the was the warm cozy lobby. Room was nice, but could never get it cool enough , even with the window open. Dinner and cocktails at the bar were good. Wish there more places like this beautiful old lodge. Great gift items also in...

I love this place. Sit outside by the rushing brook with fires burning in the pits. Take a jacket in the fall. The food has always been excellent. The Pizzas are huge and cover the table. . Humas plate is great. Everything we ordered was great.
