My girlfriend and I needed a " Girls Getaway Weekend" and we picked the Blue Boar Inn in NC. It's a lovely B & B on Lake Santeetlah. The lake is beautiful and the water is so clean and clear. The B & B has kayaks for the guests to use and it was fabulous. The food at the Inn...

My husband and I have just come home after a very enjoyable and relaxing three days at the Blue Boar Inn. This Inn is so beautifully decorated and our room was very comfortable and large. Our room was very private with our own door to go outside so that we didn't disturb any of the guests. Lisa is a wonderful...

My wife of 44 years and I slipped away from the hustle and bustle of Atlanta to enjoy two nights at the Blue Boar Inn in belated celebration of our June anniversary. We came back refreshed and with fond memories of this delightful retreat. The inn was originally a hunting lodge nestled in the Great Smokey Mountains but it has...

Read a couple of bad reviews of the Blue Boar and can only assume those folks were from another planet!! My first visit here and I cannot say enough good things. The setting tucked away at the end of a gravel road is wondrously private, the grounds with streams and trout pond beautiful even in the middle of a major...

the driveway to this inn is a mile plus through a pristine national forest. to say that one will not be disturbed by auto or motorcyle traffic is an understatement. the beds were extremely comfortable, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful, the food gourmet. you will love the blue boar. look no further.

The wonderful staff, accomodations, location, Lake Santeetlah, gourmet meals, keep us coming back several times every year! We are never disappointed. We brought a group of friends with us in July, 2010, and they unanimously agreed that the Blue Boar Inn far exceeded their expectations and they have all booked a return visit for 2011. Lisa is an amazing chef--gourmet...

We have been going to western North Carolina for years and have stayed at all the high end places in the Lake Santeetlah/Lake Fontana area. Early on, The Blue Boar Inn became our favorite. There are good reasons for this. First of all, it's charming, serene, and beautifully appointed. The bedrooms are spacious, have all the amenities, are very clean,...

My trip was not in April 2010 (can't write a review w/o a date) but several years ago & I have dreamed about going back ever since. I recommend the Blue Boar Inn to anyone I know that is going to the area. The rooms were very nice & the food was delicious. We ordered the lunches-to-go several days and...

“All rooms are identical except king or 2 double beds and chaise versus 2 comfy reading chairs, but the garden view rooms have a better view than the mountain view rooms. The rooms look exactly like the pictures on the website.”
