The room was nice as were the amenities, i felt like for the cost i shouldn't have to chase down people to exchange towels and be refused an extra towel. Watch you stuff, my son had his shoes stolen and I had a shirt stolen as well. The Cafe serves some really good food as well.

Totally the most beautiful vacation I have ever spent In the South. The Island! The views, ANAZING! clean, quiet camp ground, no trees but with the breeze from te ocean they weren't nessesary. Love to come back someday. Love from Minnesota!

Very very nice campground. This is the first KOA that we've visited and we were very impressed with the facilities. All of the staff were very nice and helpful and stopped by to check on us during the storms. The campground is located on the beach side and just a very short walk to the beach. We do not typically... More

Horribly treated by management. Complained about broken ac to manager, in return i was threatened by management by a pointed finger in my face. I was told that if i acted rude one more time ( which all i did was complain earlier about the broken ac) i would be kicked out. I am a woman. The manager that came... More

The KOA has lots to offer for the entire family. The pool with the water slides, 2 bounce pillows, and gigantic playground. Bath houses clean, and staff friendly. The sunshiners for the kids need some pep though. We requested and paid for a deluxe site and were told we would have a gazebo over the picnic table. We got a... More

We've been let down many times by KOA in general, but this one was so very different from the rest! Great location, centrally located between Nags Head and Cape Hatteras, campground is definitely the nicest one in the area. Camp store/ hotel/ lounge is beautiful. Staff was very helpful and polite. Sites were decent size and level. No trees or... More

While we know that bad weather happens, when you pay $110/night for two adults to sleep in your own r.v. at a campsite, you expect that site to be moderately level. It took us almost 30 minutes to get our r.v. level and then it was with the help of several 2x4's. This facility is very clean and if you... More

This KOA was totally rebuilt after severe hurricane damage. It now has a three story entrance building vs the former single lever building. The registration area and store is on the second level as is a restaurant. Facilities are good with good access to the beach. What is lost with the rebuild is an attractive entrance area and campsites situated... More

We spent 2 weeks here in our 5th wheel. The campground is one of the best we've ever been to in the 3 years we've been RVing. We had a pull-through site with a concrete patio and grass. The pool is ginormous as is the hot tub. The facilities are all pretty new probably because of Hurricane Irene, and they... More

I was pleasantly surprised with how clean the facilities were! We were able to do our laundry as well! Water slides and trampoline were definitely used :) It was not crowded at all. My husband and I enjoyed our 2 night stop here with our spot right in front of the beach.
