The name of this hotel is confusing. It is either Forum or Furama Hotel. The location is next to changsha railway station. I stayed one night in this hotel and I request a room that is not facing the main road. The front desk was helpful and gave me a free upgrade to a room that is not facing the...

I stayed one night for a standard "big-bed" room (the least expensive). The service was marvelous. You feel like you were the only person staying in the hotel, getting undivided attention. I was greeted upon entering the hotel's door; ice tea and cold wet handtowel were served while checking me in. Check-in was done in no time. Then from nowhere,...

This hotel is a nice place situated within walking distance from the rail station. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, by non-international hotel Chinese standards. The rooms were comfortable, although the corridors smelled of smoke (my room did not). The staff have very limited English, so be prepared to bring your patience. If you come here and you are disappointed,...

Good location near the railway station and reasonably priced. Good service very friendly and helpful front desk staff who spoke Enhlish. Hotel pretty clean for an old outfit. Taxi fare to central of town cost RMB 18 .

But I had a little trouble getting a taxi, so in desperation I called the cell number of the young engineer who shared my sleeping cabin on the way over....

This is a very pleasant Chinese provincial hotel. My bedroom was comfortable although the bed may be too hard for those not used to Chinese beds. Traffic noise was a problem during the day. Breakfast was adequate, including a few western options like cereal & omelette. The biggest problem was the total lack of English TV or English speakers. I...

Furama Hotel Changsha May 2006 In May 2006 my business partner and I stayed at Furama Hotel in Changsha for the second time (first time was September 2004). The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff was very helpful and accomodating and meals were mostly pleasant except for limited dinner menu in the main dining room. Breakfast buffet was perfect...
