We stayed there for one night in a double room without ensuite bathroom, although told on the homepage. The host tried to be friendly, but seemed to us as if he was only interested in the money he got for the stay. We had no key for our room, the breakfast was served 45 minutes after the forcasted time. The...

Just come back from a week in Dessy and Gini's self catering apartment. It is such a lovely place, light airy and very clean. It has one large double bedroom with plenty of storage, and a very comfy bed. With a crook of the head you also have a sea view! The kids were in the small room with large...

Room nice & clean, airy, bed comfy, duvet lovely & soft. Very accomodating used the resources he's got well. Lounge clean, tidy no issues, Can help yourself to tea & coffee in the lounge and watch tele. From previous reveiews I'd say the lounge being in a state was due to some unruly guests staying there! If you want to...

I often visit Croyde with my friends to surf and always stay with Dessy at Sandy Hollow when down for a weekend or when too tired to drive back that evening. He is very accommodating and can always fit me in no matter how late i book! His laid back approach, flexibility and invaluable surfing and local knowledge make it...

We've been going to Croyde Bay for years and have never had a bad experience at a B&B...until now! The 'communal lounge' was being used as a laundry room when we arrived with clothes everywhere! After checking in we had to ask for somewhere to park our car as the owner had parked their car smack bang in the centre...

Sandy hollow is basic accomodation with no frills, but is in a great location to the beach and the village of Croyde. There was room in the garden to lay out wet wet suits and a communal living room with a t.v. The owner Dessy is a friendly, laid back guy who gave us daily recommendations for the best beaches...

When you stay at Sandy Hollow you do just get a bed and breakfast - no other trimmings. There's no TV or radio in the rooms and no kettle. There wasn't any soap either. It was nice enough but it did feel like you're staying in some one's home and some one that slightly resents you being there. We were...
