I’ve been staying in Croyde since 1985 . My girlfriend and I have been staying at the beach site every summer for the last 6 years and it’s a cracking place. In that time , we've stayed about 50 nights ! The view over the bay is second to none ( hopefully Trip Advisor will put my photos up )...

my experience in summer 2011 at this site was good, the facilities were very good, and very clean, however the owner of the site was very strict with us, an old man, not sure of his name, however would not allow us to breathe! any one simply wanting to turn around were charged £5! I merely bounced a beach boy...

Jack fancy after working all summer at the village site you can't remember his name and to think that you got to surf all summer with food, alcohol and board all provided with a wage... one word dissapointed in you.

Stayed here for a week in July for a spot of surfing and this is a real gem of a campsite. The facilities were great for such a small campsite, clean and well maintained and even a vanity room for the ladies with electricity! yay! We were on the Village site which is literally a 2 minute walk to the...

We stayed at the Mitchum's Beach campsite for a couple of nights and now understand why they only allow small tents - there's simply no space for anything else! On arrival we were allocated half a pitch for our tent with barely room to peg it out. People were crammed in like sardines with no room or privacy at all....

The beach site has now had it's pitches enlarged.

I stayed at Mitchums beach campsite over an August weekend with my 15 year old nephew in a VW campervan. The facilities at the campsite are great-hot water in the showers, cold showers for wetsuits, clean toilets and good washing up area. In terms of location, I'm not sure you can get much closer to the beach without actually being...

It is difficult to know where to begin to describe the unbelievable experience we had at Mitchums.Over a month on now from our stay i am almost still lost for words.I do not think i have the vocabulary to describe the awful stay at Mitchums. From the moment we arrived it was clear we were not welcome. Myself and three...

We stayed at Mitchum's for Oceanfest and had the best time. The campsite was clean and tidy, the pitches were quite cramped but this was only because of the festival and the number of people that attended. The toilets were cleaned regulary. There were queues for the showers on a number of occasions but again, I think this was due...

As far as campsites go this is a good one, clean showers and toilets and plenty of hot water. It's a small campsite so you are very close to your neighbours but it suits those looking for a quiet camping site. We stayed at the beach site which is ideal for surfers but a bit of a trek to the...

Not bad location, but expensive, hefty behaviour deposits required. Village site small, very limited parking had to park in village. Had a small issue with staff, totally dismissive and unhelpful. Any problems I think you need to speak to the owner.

This time I visited Croyde with my 11 year old son and once again the campsite was everything we had hoped for. We stayed at the one further from the beach which means it's pretty close to the shops but without being impacted by the noise coming from the pubs etc. I haven't given it top marks for 'sleep quality'...

“Upper field for small cars/solo tents/ 2 or 3 people max, this is closer to the main hut so more likely to get peace and quiet here compared to the lower field for groups of noisy campers where those supposedly enforcing the "behaviour bond" quiet policy don't seem to venture.”

“I haven't rated the service as this would be misleading....for all the staff, especially the couple of young lads and the lady there it would have been an "Excellent" and quite frankly they all deserve medals for putting up with him but unfortunately this brilliant service was cancelled out by the owner.”
