The Beach Shack holiday accomodation certainly measured up to the reviews here on Tripadvisor. We stayed in Shack #3 "Escape". You really feel like you are in a treehouse, with bedrooms that can be closed off with french doors and push out windows, but adjoining living areas that have no windows but wide overhangs and handy pull down sun filtering...

We stayed here a couple of nights in May and fell in love with the place. When we walked in to our room we instantly asked the Manager if we could extend our stay by another night, but sadly they were all booked out. The location is breathtakingly gorgeous, there aren't too many places you can stay on Australia's east...

We stayed at 1770 Beach Shacks in 2003 and again May 2016 with our children. This place is hasn't changed and the chalets are kept in perfect condition. The décor is just gorgeous and so clean. Upon arrival we found beautiful freshly cut flowers left everywhere throughout the chalet which gave it a real tropical island feel. Onsite managers are...

What a lovely break! Had a fantastic weekend in a beach shack (the beach is absolutely right, but these are no Shacks). It was wonderful just to sit on the verandah, sipping wine while the sun went down. Great atmosphere, very island ambience decor. All the mod cons, lovely bathroom, functional kitchen. Perfect position. My only niggle is the expectation...

Dave the owner was superb in accommodating myself and partner (who has walking difficulties) and we were able to change our shack to the lower one. Excellent rooms, beautiful beds and linen,a wide balcony with BBQ. Dave is happy to recommend trips and venues to try. The pub is right next door so close to refreshment. Sunset views are beautiful.

This set of 4 chalets on the side of a steep hill are wonderfully located in the heart of 1770. Although initially disappointed that it doesn't overlook a surf beach (one has to go back to Agnes Water for a surf swim) & it can get a bit hot in afternoons facing western sun, shacks are well appointed with air...

We stayed 3 nights in the tree tops shack, views were fabulous and lovely gardens. The shack is nicely decorated and has aircon as well as a ceiling fan. The bathroom is very small but clean and has a great shower wi good water pressure. As our shack was for couples we found the children's shower curtain odd... had cartoon...

We stayed at the beach shakes for 4 days. Lovely setting, and the atmosphere was island like. Difficult to get to rooms and air conditioning only in bedrooms. It was hot in April and just not pleasant without air con. I would only stay in winter. But lovely quite setting and great location for our business trip, as between Bundaberg...
