We just finished our month long stay at the Barossa to earn some money. Regarding work this place is fantastic they have 2 contracts with local factories and so there is always work if you don't mind being in a factory. If you can try and get a job at Mitolos from what we hear you are treated alot better...

This is a working hostel. So for any backpackers looking for their 2nd year visa, this is as good as I have seen. I however used it as a base for seeing the Baroosa because it is the cheapest option. And it served its purpose. The kitchen could be cleaner but this is the result of working holiday backpackers and...

Disappointing stay as the hostel was in such a filthy state. It had not been cleaned properly for ages. Everywhere you looked, you saw dirt. The kitchen was the biggest mess. You could not cook in there even if you wanted to. It was so unhygienic, full of dirty dishes that are left for days, all the countertops dirty/filthy. I...

Hi Elina, Thank you for your feed back. Barossa Backpackers employees 2 full time cleaners who clean everyday in the morning. This include cleaning the Kitchen and Rooms Daily. The photo you took was from before the cleaners had arrived on a Sunday Morning after the backpackers had a party. We have signs and ask guests to make them clean...

Thank you Barossa Backpackers. You saved me big time I had 3 months to get my 88 day visa and I got it today no problems! I found the hostel with a Gum Tree ad which looked fine compared to other hostels I researched and reviewed. I came to the hostel by myself and met some fellow English guys who...

I booked the family room for a week starting on a Tuesday in April. The room was coated in red bull dust. That night the itinerant backpackers partied on till 2-30am. No night manager and all the secured doors were left open. Calls to the security firm didn't help. Apparently curfew is broken most nights during vintage and then other...

This was my first stay at a backpackers but we were very impressed and would definitely do it again. The backpackers is right on the property of a great winery (chateau tanunda) and right near town which was a great location. The manager and owner were really helpful and even offered to organise one of the other backpackers to take...

Hi Angie, Thank you for your review of our hostel. We are very sorry about the unpleasant actions of our guest partying on Saturday night and disrupting your sleep. We hope you had a safe 12 drive back home. We unfortunately had to ask 3 people to leave the hostel as a result of the party and mess they created...

Great Place! We stayed in Barossa Backpackers for 2 nights in a double room with shared bathroom. The showers and toilets were very clean as was the bedroom. This was of course basic, but cozy enough. The common rooms were lively and enjoyable. The hostel was right in the middle of vineyards and just a short stroll to Cellardoors and...

Always helpful and smiling at reception, very strategic place near the supermarket, visitor center, cellar doors and bus stop, clean bathrooms, you'll meet a lot of friendly backpackers : one of them took me for free trip to some cellar doors... I went in this place twice before, and I've never been disappointed. The dormitories (6 beds) are a bit tiny and...
