This place is extraordinary. The grounds are extensive and most attractive. Well maintained gardens and attractive buildings. Just seven rooms, excellent breakfast and nothing else! We love it. It is really peaceful and there are many local restaurants of excellent quality. The rooms are comfortable. What more could one want? Nice pool too. Strongly recommended.

Wow! What an oasis of paradise amid the vineyards. Lovely gardens, hospitable hosts and a fab wine cellar. Go on Friday or Saturday to try the wines in the cellar. They are nectar. We were in Cedar suite which had a sunken bath and a lovely covered veranda and secluded and verdant garden. The swimming pool was the icing on...

This place probably should change its name from 'Retreat". The cottages are very old which is rustic and fits the area but the interiors are in need of refurbishment. Not really sure the electricity in the bathroom is completely safe and we really didn't appreciate the fact you could reach your bar fridge from the toilet! The rooms were overrun...

Stayed here for 2 nights. The culmination is delightful! Lovely cottages. Our room has an amazing sunken bath tub. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was good. It does however feel as though it could have a bit of money spent on it - but it kind of lends itself to the rustic charm. Amazing grounds . The...

My husband and I had been looking forward to exploring the Barossa for a while and were willing to pay for luxury. If you are too don't come here! We weren't expecting a resort with all the 'mod cons' and were looking forward to staying in a location with the country charm - if that's what your after don't come...

Nice and private retreat, B&B style. Beautiful setting woukd look its best mid spring and through summer. Suites are nicely appointed with old period style furniture with good modern conveniences like a proper coffee machine. Great in room spa bath which easily accommodates two people and likewise the shower with decent water pressure making a nice change from the restricted...

Great getaway with fantastic grounds. The personal service is something I haven't seen in a long time anywhere and it was rather refreshing how friendly the staff were. I will definitely be returning soon to try the rest of the 80 vineyards I didn't get a chance to!! I would suggest to people staying to definitely reserve a table at...

Here with friends as part of a few days checking that Barossa reds were still worth drinking. A charming spot bisected by Jacobs Creek; we were assured by a wine guide at Rockford that this was the only establishment on a dead end road and I suspect he had checked a few roads out on the way home from events!...

Our visit was "off season" so pretty much had the place to ourselves. While we thoroughly enjoyed being there, there is a strong sense that someone needs to spend some money on the place to tidy up the loose ends. Things that don't work or are falling apart. The hostess was excellent and helped with things like restaurant choices and...

Over priced for what is available on the site. At $450.00 a night with a 3pm check in it is just not value for money. It's old and although room had a heater it is very basic. Cooked Breakfast was good. Door to eating area needs fixing. The setting may be better during warmer months.
