Very run down and disappointing. The only staff that where friendly where the lady who did the room tidy ups and the yard hand. Had a meal there and we were the only people in the restaurant food was over priced and poor quality. $20 just for a steak sandwich that was made with minute steak and not the scotch...

We were in need of somewhere to stay as the station that we were going to stay on was closed due to a bushfire in the area. The receptionist came to our rescue with joining rooms for the family for just under $485, the cheapest we could find in town. It certainly but a dent in our budget and wasn't...

Service is not a major concern for staff here. The room s sufficient but the Tv is very old and fridge is very small. Wifi does not work in the rooms so you need to come to the bar. Just seems that they are not interested in new business just catering to usual customers.

I really liked this hotel. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm, with a private bathroom. I had to room just for me. I had to check out at 10am but they allowed me to use the pool area the whole day cause my bus to Darwin started 9pm. There was also a toilet with a shower so I could...

We stayed here for one night after completing out journey along the Gibb River road from Wyndham to Derby. After a few days in the wilderness we were looking forward to a nice comfortable hotel in Derby before moving onto Broome. Unfortunately we met he Kings Sound. From a disinterested and borderline rude 'receptionist' to whom we we were clearly...

My family stayed at this establishment for two nights in August 2016. It's alarming and disgraceful in this day and age, even in North Western Australia, that such a poorly run Hotel continues to exist. From the shambles of the front entrance with broken concrete driveway ,filthy dusty exteria, plants dead and dying, indoor and outdoor, that haven't been watered or...

The entrance had a really broken concrete driveway with dead trees and very neglected garden. The foyer was black and purple and right out of the 80's and had a stale smell about it. The reception desk is only open 2 hours each day and then you walk in to a locked heavy security screen. Lots of areas closed down...

Stopped in here for a beer while traveling through Derby. I would like to say I was greeted by a woman behind the bar but she couldn't even manage that and seemed displeased that I was interrupting her meal which she was eating behind the bar. I would have to say I have never experienced such an unpleasant and unwelcoming...

It was a lovely visit to derby wa. This was by far the nicest hotel in the town to stay in. The food was lovely, and location was sufficiently close (though small town, so location wasn't too big of an issue). Staff friendly. Recommend for stays in derby
