We loved our stay at the Lois Jane Riverview Inn! The location is perfect. You can walk to everything in the charming town. The B & B is right across from the water, with beautiful views of both Oak Island and Bald Head Island lighthouses. Our room had it's own private entrance onto the 2nd floor porch, where we could...

Southport is about as charming and quaint as you can get. Lois Jane's was an added bonus. With a great location and friendly innkeepers, you can't ask for much more. It's central to everything as are most all amazing things in small Southport.

First time my husband and I stayed in a B&B. We loved it! the house was beautiful and staff was just wonderful. Totally enjoyed the breakfast every morning at 8:30 a.m. Meeting all the other guest at the breakfast table was entertaining. It was a hot weekend but the A/C was working perfectly. Also enjoyed the cheese and wine with...

I've stayed at Lois Jane's numerous times, and would literally stay there forever if I could. It feels like home there, and the owners are so nice, you feel like you've known them forever after just meeting them once. Davey and his son, Bonner and family, are the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. The innkeeper, Erin, is...

We were in town and didn't plan on staying. They happened to have a room in the main house and it was wonderful. We only stayed one night but wanted to stay more. The location was perfect, the rooms were clean and quiet, the mattress was very comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous - lots of great food. We were very...

We have stayed at Lois Jane's twice (once in the main house, Davey's Room, and once in the lower-level Captain's suite). Davey's room has a hunting theme and when we stayed there, we were the only people in the entire Inn! The suite in the adjacent building had a kitchen, a nice little living area, and a front patio with...

We arrived on a sunny Friday afternoon just before the rest of our family. We rented two rooms in the main house and the second floor in the "carriage house". The grounds are full of flower gardens that have people constantly taking pictures. The main house is about 120 years old and is looks perfect condition. The furniture in the...

If you are looking to de-stress and forget about the rest of the world, Southport is the location for you. Lois Jane's Riverside Inn and Riverside Motel are in the heart of this quaint town. If you aren't a vegetarian and don't mind the smell of bacon, stay at the B&B. If you do mind the smell of bacon throughout...

I was disappointed that we were put in the motel across the street and not the inn. It was adequate but not what we were expecting. Breakfast is at a communal table and they do not serve until 8:30 a.m. We are early risers and want coffee and breakfast so we can be on our way for the day. They...
