The folks at Economy Inn are very pleasant. The location is convenient and comfortable, within walking distance to downtown, breweries, park, entertainment. Pricing is best in town; it's The Economy Inn!
We stayed in two rooms next yo each other and they were so clean and smelled great. We were very impressed. It was more than affordable and the staff were so kind and met every need! I We highly recommend staying here!!!
We travel to the area several times a year to visit my husbands dad. We always stay at Economy Inn. Since our main goal is a place to sleep and shower, this place is perfect. It is always clean and is the most affordable place in the area that we have found. I love seeing the river outside the back of the motel. It is very relaxing to watch. The rooms are not large but are just what we need.
First off, any reviews older than October 2020, disregard. This little motel is under management. Very nice and quaint. The lady and gentleman who checked us in were very friendly and professional. (They do not accept American Express card). We were in room 316. (Only ground level rooms). There’s an old railroad track right in front of the motel but is no longer in service. It is also located on a busy street, however, when the door was closed we didn’t hear any outside noises. You cannot check in before 3:00 PM. We arrived about 2:30 PM and there was no one to check us in. The owner showed up right at 3:00 PM. Also, when we checked out the next day, the office door was locked. There was a friendly gentleman there that was doing the housekeeping and he said to just leave the card key in the room. There is a stream just outside the back window. You only hear it if you have the window open. Super comfortable beds. (Doubles) Very clean. Average size room. There is a little type spot between one of the beds and corner of the wall. Not a big issue unless you are a big person. Nice laminate flooring, not old nasty carpet. Takes just a minute for the hot water to get to you, but once it does, it’s very hot. There is a nice park just across the street from the motel. Rate was fair. Much less than some others in the area. I would definitely recommend this motel. Is within walking distance of downtown Sylva. …
Very clean rooms , super friendly ,and accommodating owners . Walking distance from downtown. This is my wife and I's second time staying here and we will stay many more times to come. Very affordable. Be aware of home game schedules as all Sylva hotels will be booked Fridays and Saturdays on those particular weekends.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room and bathroom was very clean . Convenient location in downtown Sylva walking distance to restaurants , stores , and bars. Reasonable rates and availability; will definitely stay there again!
Location was very convenient for our business appointment, room was clean, beds were comfortable, staff was nice. Very good value. There was no breakfast offerings which was disappointing. Would stay again when in the area.
Loved the creek! The beds were comfy but the ac in room 316 did not work. Thank goodness it was cool anyway. The bathroom is very small. It's by a main road but was actually pretty quiet at night. The sound of the creek was nice
Was quoted one price on the phone charged another rented for my daughter. They said they miss quoted but refused to make it right. Thank You to my bank for correcting their wrong practices. Don't recommend them at all
Never expected to pay $88, even on a weekend night, but we were tired and shellshocked at being quoted $136 at a Super 8 in Cherokee back up the road. Although the slogan on their card says "cool by the creek," this dumpy little place is across a narrow driveway from the railroad tracks. Tiny room smelled bad when we first entered, but it either went away or we got used to it, Bed was mega-comfortable, so that made almost all the problems go away. Exception was wi-fi, which I could never get connected. Probably won't stay there again.
