Campground is beautiful; very clean well maintained, staff is wonderful and helpful. Campsites are very well set for relaxing by the creek for reading, talking, sleeping, or just being lazy. Shopping very close by with small towns nearby and Asheville close by be sure and check out the new Ashville Outlets, a Tanger outlet with a different name. if your...

Day one so far has been delightful. I'm a mom of two tween boys and we wanted to meet Gpa and Mamma Jo on one of their adventurous camping trips. They planned a visit here and we decided to meet them. This meant camping without my husband whom is still at work. When I called to book our tent site,...

What a great experience! A truly unique location on a rocky stream in a mountain cove adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Katie, Gail and Dee went out of their way to make our stay special. Hint, be sure and use the directions on their website, a GPS can get you into trouble on the narrow mountain roads. Thanks!!

We spent a short week at the campground, using it as our base camp to explore the area by motorcycle. Getting to the property is half the fun! The owners are wonderfully friendly people who genuinely care about the experience of their guests, from expert assistance parking our trailer so the patio hung over the creek to tips for area...

We tent camped here for three nights in mid-July. I was surprised how busy the campground was considering the remote location. But it's a nice size where you don't feel crowded or hectic at all. Minus some rain, the weather was perfect for tenting. If you are tenting, you have two choices - down by the river or up on...

I have stayed in a number of campgrounds in this part of North Carolina, and this one was by far my favorite. We stayed in a camping cabin, and it was clean and had plenty of room for my friend and me and our daughters (ages 8 and 9). Our cabin had a nice fire pit area next to it...

We have been camping for over 15 years, and feel as though we re pretty knowledgeable on ideal campgrounds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moonshine Creek. We took our daughter on her first camping trip to celebrate her 2nd birthday- this site is absolutely family friendly and she had so much fun. The staff was incredibly friendly and inviting,...

If you love to tent camp there are many opportunities in the area, go somewhere else as this is not the best place. You either have to camp on a hillside ,lugging your supplies up the hill or camp right beside the entry/exit road with cars and rv' s going by you and no place to be except in the...
