Having been to the hotel several times, for dining out and a few times to stay, we can say without hesitation, that it is indeed food for the soul. The location is what grabs you initially as you drive into the Cradle, as it is commonly known...vast vistas of peace and tranquility, open spaces and a sense of harmony with nature...

This hotel is located just outside Johannesburg and within 15 minutes walking and driving of several amazing South African tourist locations. At the time of my visit there was no shuttle. This was not listed on the website. HOWEVER, the manager went out of his way to drive me over to the Cradle of Humankind....the museum --- a not to...

Being surrounded by Peaceful Nature brings such nostalgic emotions especially when you are so far from home, the view is amazing, the natural scene extends to the reception area and the rooms just illuminate with the natural light... One critical thing for me would be the outside breakfast setup, actually there's no setup at all, so we ended up opening...

Really, the hotel is just so scenically positioned. We saw game over the fence - next time binocs to come along! A hotel that really is a gem, lovely rooms, lovely facilities, super food, great access to the Visitors Centre, reasonably priced. I am certain we will be back. 1 or 2 things to improve (service (maybe slower due to...

Great views from rather spectacular sunsets makes this a fav place. Rooms are big and comfy and suits the venue. The one criticism would be the restaurant- limited menu, old fashioned food but with a new chef just recently appointed its gotta get better

Our room was extremely comfortable and had everything we could wish for, super quiet and lovely big bed. Fantastic view from the room and private patio of the hills and valleys of the Cradle of Humankind. It's like being in the complete wilderness of Africa, where one can just gaze at the countryside and amazing stars and moon at night...

An hour drive from Johannesburg is a hidden South African treasure, every single staff member we dealt with were well trained, and very helpful, nothing was ever a problem. We included dinner in our rate, the meals we had were all 5 star, well presented and very tasty. The room was well kept with one of the best bathrooms we...

Very nice stay. would recommend. charming little hotel. It does not feel luxurious but is clean, tidy and reasonably well serviced. Dinner was a bit expensive for what it was. Only 3 min walk from the museum.

Great view from room. Very peaceful. Service was great, quite possibly the best service I have experienced at a hotel, very understanding and accommodating. I would suggest this hotel to anyone who wants to visit the area.
