The thing to be aware of here is that you probably won't get a luxurious room. The main part of the inn was built in the '20s. There are other buildings scattered around the property, so you can talk to the reservations agent about the different accommodations, if you need

I've become one of those travelers who tries to balance out the price of the hotel room with the ratings and experiences other people leave and with the amenities it offers. This trip to Waynesville was no different, and I needed a place for me and my daughter while we visited

What are the cottage rooms like? I can't find very much information about them online.
I didn't stay in the cottage room but from everything else I experienced I wouldn't stay here. You can just tell whoever owns the place stopped caring a long time ago. I mean there were little things I noticed that could be made nicer and nobody cares. For example, the wood rails on the motel exterior could be sanded down and stained for a little of nothing. The hearing and a/c is broken and has been for a long time, go read other people's reviews, all complain about the same issue for over a year!! Do yourself a favor and check out places on the airbnb app, stay in one of them instead and go play golf at the Grove Park Inn. I think it'd be a much more pleasant experience for you.

No, my husband didn't have a jacket so not needed there or any of the other upscale restaurants in the town. Enjoy your trip!
