Depends. We wanted to have drinks and not worry about driving, so we ate at the hotel. I had the special which was filet mignon which was quite good. It was adequate for us so depends on your taste. There are a few restaurants nearby in Waynesville too (look here on TA) which would be closer than driving to Asheville.
