I am in Wilmington fairly often on business. I was looking for a good place to stay that wasn't some generic chain and was within walking distance of the river. I found it. This is a lovely motel - charming. The rooms are nice. If you stay in the main building, you can score a suite with a full kitchen,...

This hotel truly was a wonderful surprise and made our stay in Wilmington extra special, so special that we booked for one night and stayed two! The staff were extra friendly and Lacey even sent us away with a goody bag for our flight home! The rooms were clean, spacious and different from your average standard hotel room. Each each...

The Wilmingtonian is THE PLACE to stay if you want clean rooms, friendly staff and an overall nice atmosphere. It is located only a couple of blocks from all the restaurants downtown. A MUST STAY!! We go to Wilmington often and this is the place we always choose to stay.

From waking around the property, one can tell that units differ, even in the same building. I would suggest you ask to view a few rooms. Ours was spotless and we appreciated the amenities, but it was in need of remodeling and redecorating- especially the floors and the cabinetry. On the plus, the A/C is efficient and quiet, plenty of...

We have stayed here about 5 times the past two years and have always found the rooms very clean and the staff extra friendly. Certain rooms take pets which is why we originally started staying at The Wilmingtonian. However, even if we didn't take our dog, we would still stay here not only because of the points I have already...

Excellent service at check in. The room was very clean and cozy. Located in a perfect area of downtown Wilmington. Room was spacious and comfortable, with a very large king size bed. Highly suggest this hotel.

Within walking distance of excellent restaurants and nightlife and the beautiful old waterfront. I agree totally with Myla K. It is like a bed and breakfast or a nice old inn. They actually do have snacks, juice, yogurt and bottled water free of charge. Very nice people and very helpful.

When I booked my room for my weekend stay, I thought this would be a typical motel. This is like an elegant bed and breakfast without the breakfast. The room is a small apartment- living area, kitchenette, bedroom. Quaint. Love it! What a wonderful surprise for a weary traveler.

We weren't sure where to stay in Wilmington, so we stopped and asked a dog walking couple who recommended this gem. We parked outside though there was also parking across the street in a shared parking lot. Good value at $282 for two nights and complimentary breakfast, orange juice and sodas and muffins and cereal bars etc. available 24 hours.Staff...

We stayed at a Homewood Suites on the trip and the Wilmingtonian was a far better facility in every aspect, except no gym. Located downtown, walking distance to Riverwalk, stores, restaurants, plays, etc. Near historic district. Staffed 24 hours by knowledgeable, helpful people. Excellent suites with comfy couch and loveseat (in ours) and an excellent mattress. Quiet, good A/C (and...
