We stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had a front bedroom which was excellent and very comfortable. The breakfast was most enjoyable, that means not only the food but also the company sitting round the table. Drinks and nibbles were offered around 5pm to 6pm, in fact we were encouraged to use this facility. Chuck and... More

The strap line is "Second to Nun" (the address) and they are so right. Chuck and Denis, the inn, keepers have rescued a historic house in a beautiful location and over the years with love and a real eye for design have created a wonderful home which they share with travellers from all over the world. From the moment we... More

We stayed two nights in this wonderful B&B. The house is conveniently located in historic Wilmington and a short walk to the Boardwalk where you can find nice restaurants and shops. My boyfriend and I had a packed weekend between going to the Cape Fear Rugby Sevens Tournament and the beach, but every time we walked in the door of... More

From the moment we arrived at The Verandas B&B, we were greeted with true southern hospitality & beauty! The owners, Chuck & Dennis welcomed us to their home which was simply gorgeous inside & out. The home, adorned with fine antiques & filled with history & charm, gave to us a warm & inviting feel. We loved swinging on the... More

They had good recommendations for restaurants and sights to see. Breakfast was a lovely treat to begin time exploring the River Walk which was 2 short blocks away. If you want... More

Really nice property, great managers, great breakfast, comfortable stay and convenient location to wander downtown and through the historic district. The owners have dependable recommendations for local fare.

My wife and I recently stayed at The Verandas B&B in the historic town of Wilmington N.C. We actually chose this fine B&B after reviewing the accolades and reviews here on Tripadvisor. The extremely positive reviews were certainly correct, and exactley as written. From the moment one of the owners, Chuck, greeted us Yankees with his warm Southern charm, we... More

My husband and I decided to check out Wilmington during a vacation to Myrtle Beach. We love b&bs and the reviews on TripAdvisor all pointed to The Verandas. We couldn't agree more. We enjoyed our relaxing (but too brief) stay in room 6 of the inn. Chuck and Dennis were wonderful hosts, serving complimentary wine in the evening while pointing... More
