We drove to Boulder Valley, easy with google map. The place is much bigger than I expected. Although it feels isolated, it is safe as they have fenced up their whole compound and they have security guards. I love its greenery and peacefulness. 6 of us stayed in two 3-pax tentlike rooms. Inside, the furnishing is simple & nice, very clean. It had everything we needed. The mattress is comfy and towels white. The restaurant was being renovated, so they sent our meals to our rooms. Menu was limited due to the pandemic. The pool is small but enough for our use. We were the only guests on that weekday. Service is good. We communicated thru Whatsapp. Wifi good in C24, not so good in C25. We had a lovely family time there.

To the whoever the receptionist(lady) is, You have a very bad and unprofessional attitude towards customers. You make it seem like you're responsible for the cost of my stay in your hotel. You don't have a good customer service criteria as you don't attend calls like how you should. NOTE THAT your behaviour may bring the business down! Hope that your employer could identify you and your manner for further action so that other customers don't feel the way I do. Very disappointing behaviour! The environment is REALLY GOOD but the MANAGEMENT is HORRIBLE. love this place, it is like back to nature. Totally recommended!! 10/10

It was a great trip ever. A group of team members gathered and decided to stay at boulder Valley penang. The surrounding are peaceful and natural. You can have own events activities like jungle tracking, teambuilding, wedding event here. The staff are friendly. Breakfast just so-so and not much choice but healthy foods 😊. Far from downtown and 7km away from batu Ferringhi night Market. Be prepared your own food or take dinner before reaching this place. Overall OK if you love to natural environment.

The tented villa itself was nice and ours was with a great view over the swimming pool. Set dinner was delicious too. The vegetarian breakfast was pathetic; and besides swimming, a bit of walking in the woods, playing with the soccer table, there’s really nothing much activities for us - family of four. The location is quite remote since it is meant to be “in the nature”. From main road to reception area is still about 1km distance down hill. So it’s best is to have own transport. Our experience was: 1st private car driver only dropped us at the main road so we had to bring own luggage to walk down; next day not able to find any “drivers” nearby to go Batu ferringhi; and the 2nd driver, who innocently picked us up from the city, admitted that he will not pick up trips to BVG in future. I have to admit that for the price we paid, I was rather disappointed.

We came across this place whilst exploring the hills on the North West tip of Penang, and what a gem! The staff were very accommodating in letting us view the tents before we booked. We stayed in a Tented Villa, which had two generous sized double beds, a fabulous view of the abundant rainforest, air conditioning, fan and an amazing outdoor style bathroom, with a view!. The villa is housed in glass with a tented roof and ample curtains for privacy. If being close to nature is your thing, then this place is for you. You feel like you are sleeping in the treetops and are immersed in the sights and sounds of the rainforest, a beautiful way to drift off to sleep and wake to the sounds of nature. Their enthusiastic chef Yung was a delight. He opened his kitchen to us to show us how to make Otak Otak. The food is high quality, made from locally sourced ingredients, some they even grow there. Both western dishes and authentic Malaysian fare. Breakfast was included in the room rate The pool is the perfect place to cool off after a walk through the rainforest, or relax on your tents balcony and enjoy the serenity. Highly recommended.

My friends and I attended a yoga retreat here last weekend and we loved every minute! The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious, the environment is peaceful and surrounded by nature and the staff were very friendly. The food was great and the yoga classes we attended were fun. I will definitely be back next time I need a relax away from the traffic and noise of the rest of the island! Highly recommend it :)

Located in Balik Pulau but the resort does not provide transportation. The tents are well-equipped but the air is stifling if the doors are locked. Ceiling fan offers not much comfort and guest don’t get to breathe the fresh air of the jungle. Food is a problem too. Bring your own. Not much amenities and the pool is small. Enough for a few to soak in. Not an adventurous place to visit for those seeking thrills of jungle trekking. Unless you are a military man trained in jungle survival, it is not environmentally friendly for comfort and relaxation. Not a second visit for me.

Dear Mr Chancery22, Thank you for your reviews. Our place is designed to assist the urbanites, be the adults or children who has been cut-off from the nature, to get back to the nature without having to sacrifice the modern comfort. It is more for forest immersion, exploratory travelling experience. :-) ya, come for a cool dip, night jungle walk, experience our glamping recipes outdoor dining, guests can choose either air con or natural ventilation in their tent, arrange for a grab or transportation at reception if guests would like to go to anywhere around the place ~ Dear Chancerry22, We regret that this place does not meet your expectation. Anyway, we thank you for your valuable comments, which we will take it seriously, make improvement whenever possible. ~

Heard a lot of this new Glamping site and had a great guide tour by the designer . I would say the size of the boulders and plants there are so amazing that this are something that the only mother nature could offers and design for us. All man made structures are so carefully built to blend into the greenery. As for a concept of glamping, i don't expected much facilities. However, they do have a nice elevated pool and big open space and events hall for function. It is great place for family events, team building or a short breakaway from hectic lifestyle.

Dear Bluevvy, Thank you for your recent visit to Boulder Valley. You were lucky to have met our designer and walking round the place with you. She told us how and why those wonderful boulders and trees were kept in the making of this place, believed she has shared the same with you. Thank you for reaffirming our ideas of emphasising the mother nature as our main objective is to assist the visitors for forest immersion. We do not have much facilities to offer but the mother nature and comfortable stay ~ We welcome you back with your family and your love ones. Cheers .
