This must be the most pleasant hotel quarantine i have done so far. I have a room with a balcony that overlooks the sea on one side and the hills on the other. Last night i watched the sun set, and this morning i did my exercises in thesea breeze, and could see the birds flying around in the trees. A special thank you to the hotel reservation team - Hasrol has been so helpful. He made sure i got the rooms i requested (we are a family group, so wanted adjoining rooms as well), kept us updated as the quarantine procedures kept changing, and made sure we had the documents we needed for smooth clearance through the airport on arrival. What a difference it makes to have professional and caring staff, especially when attempting travel during the Covid pandemic.
I came back to Penang, and it was a requirement for 14 day quarantine. At Bahang Bay I paid for the Premium Executive suite. 5,600 Ringgit Malaysia. To my disappointment, we were given expired coffee, infestation of charlie ants and all quarantined guests were added into a WhatsApp group where crucial info from KMM relayed from the hotel staffs are buried in miscellaneous queries by other guests, it was not professional to see other guests complaining and I do think this should be held privately, not for me to witness. When I gave them a call, to politely enquire about my ordered food, staffs were rude(one staff went: YAYAYA). on the last day on check-out, I tried to personally meet some of them face-to-face, and it was a total change, polite and courteous -- My conclusion is people here are superficial at services, only to be nice to you when they know that they are at end's meet.…
Checked-in on 27th April and staff double-charged the amount to my debit card. Can't get the refund of RM1K plus until today (11 June) eventhough actively chase for status (email, call, whatsapp etc). Super disapointed with the service!
Thank you for good service that has been extended to us during our Family Birthday Dinner on 9 Aug 2020. With warm welcome, nice food and friendly service, my family was very happy. Check in counter is slow waiting 40 min only can go room. Hotel guest lift having problem . The lift door cant close properly . This happen 3 times. Breakfast is very limited. Check Out counter is slow need to wait too long to check out . No long queue .
