Warm and friendly staying. I was prepared to receive a good service but I sadly left Monica and Chris with their lovely dog. If you need a place to stay close to Venice at a convenient price you must slight at the faronhof.

We stayed here for 3 days and used it as our base to visit Venice. It's in a good and quiet location (although it's recommended you have a car to travel to the bus stop to Venice) and is well appointed. What is invaluable though is the knowledge and advice of the host, Monica. She provided so much useful information...

We stayed at Faronhof B&B during our trip to Venice in May 2013. Location - This is a B&B in Oriago di Mira & is about 16 kms from Venice. This is quite far from the city and takes more than 1 hour from Venice bus terminal. Due to all the traffic we took 45 minutes in the bus, we...

For the attention-starved, some bullet-points: Pros: * Great hosts. Chris is a very friendly and helpful guy. But it is Monica who will stay in your memory long after you've left Venice. So nice, so helpful, so informative, so talkative (a pleasure if you're either Indian, like us, or Italian. Not sure about other nationalities!). * Great price. If you're...

My daughter and I stayed with Monica and Christ and had a wonderful time. They are extremely hospitable and couldn't have made us more welcome. Although it is not in Venice central it is wonderful to be immersed into the culture. Monica is very knowledgeable and runs wonderful tours as well.

We stayed at Faronhof B & B in October this year and we loved it! Monica and Chris are so friendly and always ready to help with any queries that you may have. Monica's knowledge of Venice and the surrounding area is fantastic and we would highly recommend that any guests take one of her ghost or cicchetti tours where...

Faronhof B & B is a nice home stay in Oriago di Mira about 16 km from Venice. Key point to note is that the B & B is a fair distance from Venice and takes close to 1 hour from Pizzale Roma (Venice bus terminal), including the bus ride of about 30 min, waiting time for the bus (bus...

Actually stayed in August of 2009, but there was no date available that far back. This is an extraordinary place to stay if you are a solo traveller. I was welcomed by Monica and Chris as if I was a family member and, being a very young traveller at the time, I was made to feel totally at ease and...

Situated not very far from Venice, it´s a great good value place to stay for those travelling by car and that don´t want to get into the parking problem in Venice nor the higher prices of city centre. So you can leave your car (free of charge) near the bus stop which is just a 5 min car ride from...
