Very good experience. Clean and spacious cabins Full kitchen with lots of utensils. Staff very helpful. Restaurant near by was good service great. Would recommend this place. Bring your own food along if you want to cook as the local grocery store is expensive and not a lot to choose from. No cell service at times but they have Wifi.... More

We stayed in a hikers cabin at the trailhead resort. There is not a lot at port Renfrew, but the sunsets are lovely and we had a nice meal at the pub, breakfast at Tonis was very basic. The cabin was sweet, but with no amenities. There was a double bed with a twin suspended above. An overhead light and... More

On a drizzly Sunday in August, we decided not to camp because it was getting cold and wet. We came into town looking for a place to stay. Trailhead Resort had one opening, it was a best decision we made that day. We had room 3, which was a suite. It can accommodate up to 4 people since there were... More

I stayed at trailhead twice, once before and once after a 4 day hike. Both times we had a great experience and enjoyed the hot tub, BBQ, great location a block away from the wonderful local pub, and clean rooms with character. Lovely place.

Truly a memorable holiday weekend. Our first fishing trip in mid July 2016, and we thoroughly enjoyed the full experience. Our Hosts Peter and Connie operate a family unit including Uncle Mike,, the evening cook. Their Son Micheal was our fishing guide and did not lead us wrong. We caught a substantial amount of fish - our quota and on... More

We have fished at many saltwater lodges throughout our province, but we keep coming back to Trailhead Resort. Connie & Pete Hovey offer a consistent, high-quality experience at their resort. Our spacious cabin was perfect for two couples, with a big living room, and two bedrooms with separate ensuite bathrooms. There's even an extra double-single bunk bed in each bedroom... More

We booked a family suite through booking.com at the Trailhead Resort for 1 night prior to a 7 day hike. Upon arrival, Connie (I believe the owner) stated that there was an “error” with our reservation and there were other guests in the family suites, so we were going to be placed in what they call the “Hiker Hilton”. There... More

We booked a family suite in the charming main chalet of the Trailhead at Port Renfrew. A few days before arrival, we were informed that due to a booking mistake we were moved to the so called Hikers Hilton - a renovated self-standing cottage. However, upon arrival we realized that our party of three was exiled to this decisively unattractive... More

Yes the Hiker Hilton is a rustic place for hikers to stay. I am sorry that I did not notice the mistake made by our booking service and Booking.com and you were not able to stay in the suite you thought you booked. We hope you still enjoyed your visit to Port Renfrew. More

I have been deep sea fishing all over Vancouver island over 20 years and this is the first time in all those years I really feel dupped for the processing of my fish! First I would like to say the organization of the processing area is like a Chinese circus. No organization people running all over the place... I brought... More

I was with a group of 10 fishers from the US. The fishing was great. Connie, the owner refused to let us keep the the fish each of us caught. She insisted we pool our fish together. This is against DFO regulations. When we got home we found many of the center of the salmon fillets were missing. They kept... More

We are sorry you were unhappy with your fish processing. We would have liked the oppurtunity to speak to you in person to clear up this problem. Your group made the decision to share the fish caught and the group divided the processed fish into the 10 people's share. You should ask your friends where the centers of your salmon... More
