Average place. We stayed in the suite it was nice, however didn't expect a set of bunk beds in a suite. The free wifi is crap, it's slow and drops out a lot. Nice that's it on the ATV trail since the three of us are riding them. The on site restaurant (jungle jims) is ok.

Our room was clean, beds comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately Wi Fi was an issue, which staff kept trying to help resolve and had some luck the second night, but limited. There is no nearby spot for breakfast except A&W or Tim Hortons. We did have breakfast at the Deer Lake Motel.

We stayed one night at the Driftwood Inn before we flew back to mainland Canada the next morning. I have not rated many hotels 'poor' but this one comes close. It would probably suit backpackers, maybe young people looking for somewhere cheap. We chose it for convenience, and it was only that. The room was spacious enough, with a fridge,...

The hotel was okay too be honest. Better than my expectations considering it is ranked 4/4 in deer lake (which IMO is not true) Stayed here because we used it as a stop off for a ferry to Sydney, NS. For average expectations for a low price then your expectations wi certainly be fulfilled. Good stay. 1 night.

First impressions are everything and I just got here and had an awesome first impression. Upon arrival i was greeted by a very friendly staff member who was very helpful, I arrived much earlier then check in time and there was no problem getting my room right away. The room was very inviting, smelled great and was very clean. The...

We recently stayed at the Driftwood Inn and found it a overnight good value hotel. The hotel has a chain restaurant and the food is good. A problem occurred over night with the hot water supply, so when we got up there was no hot water for washing. We found other ways of getting hot water to wash. When I...

Attempted to make reservations in two other similar establishments one of which we had enjoyed on previous visits to Deer Lake. Fortunately we waited too long to reserve a room and took the Driftwood as a third choice. Next time it will be our first choice. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The desk clerk courteous and knowledgeable. Great...

Not the best place to stay. It is tired and old. The bed was horrible. No support at all and could not get any sleep. Lying on the bed, was like sitting in a chair. Yes, that bad. But, clean and quiet. Has a good pub/restaurant. Wifi connection was very bad. Honestly, would not return for another night.

This is an older hotel but very clean and very well maintained. The staff is pleasant and professional. There is no AC in the rooms but fans are provided. My only issue was people hanging out in the parking lot since there is a pub on the property. I could have done without that.

Very reasonably priced--i.e. senior's rate. An older building, which has been recently renovated, but the rooms still seem "small", or perhaps "cramped". The furniture was too big for the room, but the bed was comfy--and that's what matters most.
