This motel, on the highway not far from central Baddeck occupies a lovely site overlooking the water. Each tier of rooms is higher than those below so the view is consistent. There are coin operate laundry facilities but goodness me, outside in a shed, they must have been years old and I wondered if they would work at all, fortunately... More

Hi Folks, We are glad that our laundry facilities worked out for you and that your laundry task was completed. Our facility is older true, but clean and well maintained. We certainly apoligize if your experience with service was not as expected. It is always helpful to let us know at the time, this would certainly enable us to make... More

We stayed here for 10 days during Celtic Colours Festival. We were in a chalet, which was perfect for a long stay, as we really enjoyed the privacy of this little cabin. There is nothing fancy here, but you couldn't ask for a more friendly and clean, comfortable place to stay. The employees treated us like family, always with a... More

Stayed here after checking out early from Trailsman. I got one of the little chalets in the back, and was very happy with it. The only thing I didn't like, and it seemed to be a trend with the hotels in this region, was the mattress was pretty awful. Very stiff and not much cushion. Place was clean and with... More

We had a wonderful trip to Cape Breton and this motel served us well to be in the middle of it all . Very clean older style motel and friendly staff with good food in restaurant . Not the quietest motel with people on either side can hear conversations in other rooms . If looking to sleep in in the... More

Loved this quaint place. Older but very clean and comfortable. Best of all were adirondack chairs on our private deck facing the water. I would have love to see more of the area and stay here longer than one night. Maybe next time. The restaurant was right on the property and our large group had both dinner and breakfast. Everything... More

We were turned away from several large hotels. Two I spoke with said "try this place" so we did. It's not our normal type of spot but it did itself well. First it didn't smell...you know it when you smell it, trying to cover something else! It was dated but the bed (and, yes, the pillow!) were comfy. Considering we... More

In addition to being gorgeous and fascinating in and of itself, Baddeck is a great, central location for exploring Cape Breton-- everything is w/in 30 minutes or less. And Cabot Trail Motel is on the water and 5 minutes from busy downtown Baddeck. Our room was smallish for a queen bed but adequate ( it's an economy motel, not a... More

We stayed two nights. Even though on the highway you hardly notice, since the units are up a nice, long hill. Gorgeous view. Clean and well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff.
