Arrived early evening on Friday and will leave on Sunday after a truly wonderful stay. Even though it is the end of s challenging tourism season in NovaScotia, the team in this property were bright , friendly and most welcoming . Adam at the Front Desk made sure we got a room that suited us; Belinda in the Cable Room restaurant was endlessly helpful & friendly and played a great part in us having a terrific dinner made from evidently very high quality and fresh ingredients - delicious potato and bacon soup; crab cakes that really tasted of the freshest crab; a wonderful pork tenderloin; and flaky fresh haddock. And we amazingly had space for a delightfully and surprisingly light toffee pudding - bravo and thanks to a great trio of chefs. This was their penultimate night before closing the restaurant for the season until next spring 2021. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the team is really diligent in following all the Covid 19 protocols - and sincerely care that you are comfortable. This all obviously comes from the ‘boss’ - Sean - who helped us with sightseeing advice early the next morning , having been helping out in the restaurant that previous night! So thank you for a great stay and a wonderfully warm and welcoming team. We look forward to a return visit soon .

We enjoyed a 3 day stay at the Inn. Room #41 with a great view of the bay and convenient parking next to the unit. All conveniences in the room. This hotel is an older establishment which may need some updating in the future. The bed was comfortable however a few extra pillows would be appreciated. Nice to have a small fridge in the room which comes in very handy when travelling. Not sure that a Nespresso coffee maker is as much appreciated as an ordinary coffeemaker for that morning cup although complimentary coffee was offered in the lobby. We found all members of the staff to be extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel has an excellent restaurant for dinner which is a great asset especially with the closure of so many restaurants in town due to Covid and few visitors. All together a wonderful stay and we highly recommend this cozy hotel.

Times are tough during the pandemic. There were a few details which needed attention in our room and the owner kindly took note of them. Overall the room was comfortable. The shower and beds were great as is the location and I highly recommend the restaurant (The Cable Room.)

Beautiful property, clean and comfortable room. It’s located on the main road and close to everything. The food at the cable room was outstanding - 5 stars!!! - and the service was excellent. Would come back in a heartbeat.

The facilities are clean. The bed is so comfortable. There are all the necessities for a motel. It’s right downtown, walking distance to the museum, to the waterfront and to a lot of other venues. The Cable room is the restaurant attached to the motel. The food is good but the portion is not as big as for the price. Staff are very friendly from the receptionist to the waitress. Very polite. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to town.
