The Ceilidh Lodge is in a convienent location to spend a couple of days enjoying the sights along the Cabot Trail. This is a motel like facility with clean basic rooms and plenty of parking near the rooms. Good value for the money. The staff is very nice and the included breakfast is fine, served in a quaint little dining... More

The rooms were less than amazing but they were clean. The decor appears to be from the early eighties with old furniture and an old tv. The beds were old and squeaky. No microwaves or fridges in any rooms unless asked for. The free wifi worked really well. The free continental breakfast was was pretty good and dining room was... More

The staff were very friendly. The room was small mind you it was filled with a big comfy king bed with a nice duvet and several pillows and clean. Furniture definitely used but functional. The bathroom was small and kinda dated but clean. Keurig is nice for coffee. All in all slightly overpriced in comparison to other places I've stayed... More

This is a lovely but older hotel in Baddeck. The rooms are dated, and the only negative is the bathrooms, which Are in dire need of a Reno with a new sink with counter. The grounds are beautiful and overlook the lake. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and I appreciated having real cups and... More

We were in Nova Scotia for 8 days, and we found this place to be a little bit more expensive. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall the room was tidy and spacious, we did kill a couple of big spiders, and the carpet could have used some washing. The AC was very loud. The continental breakfast was what you'd... More

The setting is beautiful! Plus you are only a five min walk to the main strip in Baddeck. Plenty of places to dine. We stayed two nights in the MacDonald Inn. Parking is right outside our room and free. Breakfast is also included and is pretty good. Cute little country style breakfast nook that is self serve, with toast, cereals,... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Rooms fairly basic but clean and comfortable. It is in a good location and ideal if you want to do the Cabot trail. We had breakfast included which was adequate and the staff were friendly and efficient.

We stayed one night at the Ceilidh Country Lodge and found it to be very nice. All of the staff that we spoke with were very nice and very helpful. We were on the second floor in the building at the top of the hill, and we had a nice view of the lake from the deck (it's a common... More

While other reviews cost this hotel as basic and average, we found it to be charming and quaint. The room was clean and country like. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the grounds were well kept. It was just what we were looking for in this charming village. Definitely not fancy but clean and comfortable and that is what... We stayed 4 nights at the Ceilidh and used Baddeck as our home base for touring Cape Breton. The staff were always kind and helpful. The rooms are very outdated, but adequate. The Bras D'Or lake views from the deck in front of each building are lovely. Breakfast was abysmal and we ended up eating elsewhere the last 2 days.... More
