This inn was perhaps one of the highlights of our entire stay in Cape Breton. We slept in "The Library", where Alexander Graham Bell spent a great deal of time meeting with friends as they were planning some of his great projects. John, the owner has lived in Baddeck his entire life. Ask him for the history of the homestead....

John, the innkeeper, was friendly and very helpful. We stayed in the Breton room and it was roomy and very comfortable. The private patio was an added bonus and we enjoyed sitting outside looking at the view. Breakfast was delicious.

Six of us stayed here. We had a room with a 2 room suite above it. The first floor room had a balcony with a wonderful view. The upstairs suite had 2 bedrooms with a living room and bathroom. Both had small kitchens. It was very clean and well kept. The owner was very helpful and friendly and offered good...

What can you say about "John" the Innkeeper? local historian, friendly handyman, all-around great guy. Fantastic, very historic and very beautiful bed & breakfast in a wonderful setting.

What can we say about the Broadwater Inn? Beautiful view from the Bay Room with comfy reclining chairs and windows that open wide to bring in a cool breeze, tasty breakfasts and plenty of helpful tips, maps and directions from innkeeper John who entertained us with many stories from the area. We even had a piper on the lawn one...

Our room was clean but the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were hard as rocks. The owners were very nice but the breakfast was very disappointing compared to some Other B&B's we've stayed at. Beautiful views.

We had a great time at the Broadwater Inn. John, the owner, was very helpful, he let us store our bike boxes at the Inn for the four days we went cycling around the Cabot Trail. The cottage we had for our last night was very clean and perfect to relax after a four-day bike ride.

The Broadwater Inn was the PERFECT home base to explore the Cabot Trail. And John was a fantastic host. We stayed in Cottage #3, which was suited well for our needs. A little kitchen to cook the fresh seafood we bought from the area and creature comforts such as satellite TV and high speed wifi! John gave us amazing tips...

A last minute pre-season weekend trip to Baddeck was just the thing my wife and I needed to unwind from a long winter. The Broadwater was the perfect choice. We booked cottage #4 with the hot tub upgrade and it was exactly what we wanted. It's a small cottage with a queen size bed, full kitchen, wifi and satellite tv....
