Very comfortable large space for a 5-night stay. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly. Self-catering, so the room is not serviced every day, but you can ask for anything when you need it. Rooms underneath and at the back of the house, but enough light came in the front window and door. Humidifier and air exchanger took care of any...

We spent one night at the Worn Doorstep and loved it! Our apartment had a very comfortable bed, couch, tv, kitchen table, fridge and microwave, as well as a lovely little patio set outside. Willie was very helpful with telling us what there was to do around Baddeck, and even kindly offered suggestions for our trip along the Cabot Trail....

After looking at all of the generic hotels and motels in this area, we stumbled upon The Worn Doorstep, and found ourselves with a self contained suite for half the price of a hotel. The owners, Willie and Jean, are some of the nicest people I have met, and were so helpful providing details about the local area. Our suite...

Arrived in last minutes in Baddecks, i was pleased to find this guesthouse for a reasonable price. The hosts were quite charming, and the bedroom was really beautiful, full equipped. The hosts were very helpful concerning advices for the cabot trail. If i ever come back to Baddecks, i would be pleased to come again (for longer this time maybe)

The Worn Doorstep was recommended by a friend and this guest house did not disappoint. It's right in town close to amenities. 4 of us occupied the family suite: roomy, comfortable with lots of natural light. Amenities were all in place, and if not immediately on hand, were quickly provided. Stained glass windows added to the charm of this guest...

This is no longer a B&B and we knew this when we made our reservation. The Worn Doorstep is a spacious efficiency that includes a sitting area and kitchenette. The room was clean and comfortable and a great place to put your feet up after a long day. It was nice to get up and get moving at our pace....

We stayed here on a recommendation from a friend, and were so glad we did. Willy and Gina were terrific hosts! We had wonderful conversations with them and took their sound advice on what to see in the local area. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean with everything we needed, and it was great to be able to self-cater....

Whatever you do, make sure you make time to talk to Willie and Gina. Great hosts with a wealth of information about Baddeck. There's a private entrance to all the units, with a few minutes walk into the town. Comfortable beds, well supplied. If we come back to Baddeck, we're calling Willie and Gina

Spending 3 nights at The Worn Doorstep was a stroke of good luck. Willie greeted us , sat us down and we shared a delightful conversation before checking into our rooms. It set the tone for our stay....warmth, relaxation, and unrushed. The room was comfortable, spacious and included a mini kitchen. The location of this home is handy to Baddeck's...

What can I say, this was the most delightful, comfortable, friendly, convenient, hospitable place we have ever stayed (and we have done some traveling.) It is the kind of place that even though you thoroughly enjoy the sights and sounds of your visit you can not wait to return to at night. Willy and Gena are rare gems. I only...
