Picked this motel because of location to Cabot Trail - it's excellent - right at the gateway to the national park & only 5 min drive to the centre of Cheticamp. Check-in at the main building which is across the road from the rooms. Our room was apparently the smallest room they had, yet it was big enough for the...

Hi Destind40, Thanks for taking the time to share with other travelers your experience at the Cornerstone Motel. Just so you are aware, our internet was slow while you were here, and thanks to your feedback and several others, we have had the service provider come out to our site to replace the antenna and we shouldn't have that same...

I stayed at the Cornerstone Motel for one night with my family before we drove the Cabot Trail. The owners were fantastic, they had so much information on the area to share and were very approachable with questions on what to see and do. The location was great. A little drive out of Cheticamp but right at the start of...

The Cornerstone is right on the Cabot Trail, just north of Cheticamp; the office is on one side of the road, rooms on the other, so you have to cross in the morning to get your coffee and bring it back to your room. The owners are great sources for information, and even helped us with a reservation at a...

Manager of motel was very friendly. Somewhat outdated both furniture and room. Was fairly clean. Through no fault of the motel, our neighbors came in late and kids were running and jumping. Very difficult to sleep and then again first thing in the morning.

We stayed one night at the Cornerstone Motel in September. Unfortunately it was raining so we couldn't take advantage of being right across from the park our first day. There were also trails running right by the motel. Looks like it would be a fun place to stay with a family as there was lots of grassy area around back...

The river view room had the best view! This motel is very clean. Glen and Cathy are gracious host and they recommended the best place to eat in Cheticamp. It was so easy to fall in love with Cheticamp and Cornerstone Motel.

Clean and perfectly located place to hang your hat after circumnavigating the park. A Toronto couple has restored and upgraded the old place right along the highway. We were worried about traffic. But it is absolutely quiet once it gets dark as no one travels the treacherous roads at night.

This motel is next to the gate to the Highlands National Park and has been nicely renovated by its present owners. In addition it has its own scenic trails to hike along side a river. The owners take great care in recommending things to do and places to eat within the area.

Excellent stay! Rooms were very clean! Greg, one of the owners offered to get us a reservation for dinner as we were starving. It did not disappoint. There was some noise with the pipes at night which woke my mom up in the night. The location was great. Very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
