The "4" is earned because the staff is determined to do their best. This is not the most modern place, but should be rated with the location in mind. It is clean and comfortable. Your needs (unless a "primadonna") will be met. The shower head in room 35 puts out a minimal amount, but plenty of good hot water so...

I spent one night at Laurie's Motor Inn in Cheticamp. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I would have appreciated being able to check in before 4:00PM, but apparently they had been fully booked the night before. The room was dated but clean and comfortable. Fairly large bathroom that had some updates. Lots of hot water. The personal amenities were...

There are several pros and cons about Lauries Zotor Inn,, and its hardsto pigeon-hole it into one of the rating slots. Still, taking the minuses and then adding the pluses, gives it, I think, a fair rasting of average. And there's nothing really wrong with average -- in school that's a "C" or passing grade. And with a little maintenance...

Let me preface this by saying we were in Cheticamp on our way to the Cabot Trail. We got there in low season (October), so there were very limited places to stay (not much was still open). This is why we had to stay at Laurie's. We stayed at Laurie's on the first day of their 'low season'. I booked...

The rooms are comfortable and friendly staff. There is no elevator to get to the second floor but staff took our luggage up and down. Walking distance to good restaurants. Onsite restaurant has a great breakfast buffet.

We spent a couple of night in this lovely place. The rooms were so good, comfortable beds, very well appointed bathrooms where everything worked well. The service was delivered with a smile and the meals in their dining room exceptional.

From the get-go this didn't seem right, but I foolishly didn't listen to that little voice that said, "Not this place," and stayed here. Our reception was at best lukewarm, compared to the hospitality we had experienced throughout the rest of Nova Scotia. When I inquired about participation in AAA or other programs, the receptionist informed me that Laurie's didn't...

We stayed at Laurie's Inn in Cheticamp, while driving the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island. It was a great place to stay. Our room was very clean and comfortable. (We chose one of the older buildings, so that we could park directly outside of our room. We didn't want to cart our luggage up stairs). However, there were other options...

I loved Laurie's -- This is older motel which is par for Cheticamp area, not a problem for me because I love these older motels -- Serves the purpose and we were not in rooms very much -- clean and doable -- Our room with two doubles was in the Homestead Bldg which was single level -- We arrived with...
