We had two nights here during our trip around Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. The "Lodge" (as it's known to locals) is a nice luxury accommodation and was a welcoem refuge after several weeks of driving around this part of Canada. My wife particularly enjoyed the restaurant which featured a two star Michelin pastry chef. Not the cheapest place to stay...

Our family stayed in the lodge August of 2016. The lodge is easily accessible to the national park and a beautiful location but the accommodations were tired and in need of a some serious love. The rooms were like old dorm rooms and the common area felt like a funeral parlor. The food was mediocre and service poor.

My sister and I stayed at one of the cottages at Keltic lodge in July 2016. The room was fine but not tidy, there was a used towel on the floor and one behind the bathroom door. We mad reservations at the main dining room for that evening and were really looking forward to it. Our waitress was constantly rushed...

This hotel has had a change in management since last time I stayed a few years ago. The current operator is making some good improvements around the large property. I think some of the staff were suffering burnout during our recent trip over Thanksgiving. Breakfast was great despite slow service. This is one of my favourite hotels in NS and...

After traveling through the Cabot Trail, we were taking our time driving back to our room in Baddeck and decided to stop at the Keltic Lodge for some coffee and see the view. The Keltic Lodge sits on a strip of land that juts out into the water on a high bluff. It offers excellent views overlooking the water on...

It's hard not to admire the spirit that keeps this enormous old lodge going. Maybe the golf alone makes it worth it for some. For us it seemed remote and required a lot of driving. We stayed in one of the cottages with two ensuite bedrooms and a common room. Unfortunately, we didn't know who was in the other bedroom,...

Great property, it is a bonus that all amenities are here. Food was great, spa was amazing, staff was extremely friendly. If I was to go back to stay I would ensure I was in a renovated room, the cabins that have not had renovations are rustic and not everything is in working order, the renovated rooms are very nicely...

We spent one night at the Keltic Lodge, which is an old but elegant hotel located in Ingonish. Our room in the lodge was quite small and dated but it was clean and had a lovely view of the ocean. We arrived in late afternoon and, after checking in, had a cocktail in the bar in the lodge and then...

A well appointed hotel reflecting the grandeur of the early 20th Century of luxury travel, decor and fine cuisine. The Highland Links golf course located within a few minutes driving distance is spectacular.

I waited to write this as I couldn't make up my mind as to what to say. As all other reviewers state, the location is simply amazing and "one of a kind". Our room was in the newer Corson House (which from reading other reviews made a big difference). Aside from an inconvenient problem with the shower and a heating/AC...
