The view was spectacular and the dinner was excellent. Lobster pappardelle was full of lobster and salmon very tasty. Cottage was clean and functional but a little small. Did not meet the owners but the staff was excellent, very efficient and friendly.

Still day dreaming about Cape Breton and our stay here. One of the most satisfying places I've stayed. The proprietors were wonderful. Accommodations were clean and well appointed. Can't say enough! Please note that you must enter the park to reach Ingonish.

We had reserved 2 nights but wound up staying only 1 because of the weather (which obviously is not in the inn's control). Arrived to find out that because of communication mix-up, we were not booked for dinner that night, but Julie was able to make it happen for us. Extremely thankful for that, because the lobster paperdelle was the...

We found the accommodations (lovely cottage) to be clean and comfortable. The location was very good and the setting very pretty. The late afternoon hors d'oeuvres were a special treat but the most impressive feature was the dinner in the dining room. The food was comparable to that of a fine restaurant and the cost was very reasonable. We would...

We agree with all the superlative reviews that have already been posted. The hot hors d'oeuvres each night of our stay is an added nicety not found elsewhere. The cottages are lovely and comfortable, the views sublime (even in rainy and foggy weather), and access to all of Cape Breton, especially the Cabot Trail, is convenient

We recently stayed in Cottage 8, which is at the far end of the property and a bit more private. The setting is spectacular. Would agree with the previous reviewers that Rod and Julie are wonderful hosts, paying attention to the details that make a stay unforgettable. The in house 5 course meal and the packed picnic lunch were both...

We were just at this hotel and it went beyond all expectations. First, the cabins are self contained units with small kitchenettes and one bedroom. They also have nice decks and Adirondack chairs to take in the incredible views. The location provides easy access to all sides of Cape Breton. What really set the apart in our minds was the...

Nice clean roomy cabin, wonderful harbor view, good breakfast. We were surprised when they delivered an afternoon appetizer of scallops wrapped in bacon to our door! A very thoughtful bit of luxury that we have not experienced even at a Hilton. With the cabin’s fully-equipped kitchenette, this would be a wonderful place to stay long term.

Cabin 2 was immaculate, small (suitable for couples and one child) but cleverly laid out to make the most of the space. The little kitchenette was well appointed and the bathroom was pretty. I appreciated extras like a magnifying mirror, the hors d'oevres that appeared magically in the fridge in the late afternoon and the exceptional breakfast served with an...

These cottages have all the fixings, but it the view and the property amenities that are beyond expectations. The garden was surprise a tranquil hideaway. The supper meal was incredible high quality food with fresh ingredients from their garden. The staff were outstanding. We wanted to were the bests hiking/view spots were in the area. They understood the time to...
