We spent three nights here during the towns annual Scarecrow Festival. Owners Elke and Scott provide a warm welcome a warm breakfast is provided daily at either 8:30 or 9 a.m. But, these are things one expects at a Bed and Breakfast. What makes this one special is its central location, charming architecture and spacious rooms. The B and B...

Scott and Elke are fantastic hosts. They are able to suggest day trips and point out not-to-miss visits. We spent 3 nights which allowed us to explore the area in a relaxed manner, although there is so much to see and learn that we will have to come back. The breakfasts are delicious and filling--you won't need to look for...

We were driving from Peggy's Cove to Lunenburg and our intention was to stay the night in Lunenburg. We drove straight past this B & B on the way and we thought it was such a nice looking place, and noticed they had a vacancy. We got into Lunenburg and started to look for a place and both my husband...

We don't often stay at B&B's, but decided this one looked fine for an overnight get-away. It was an excellent choice! Only four rooms and difficult to get an opening -- we booked three weeks' ahead. The room was well appointed -- large enough, beautifully decorated, TV, handsome full bathroom with a bonus wicker armchair, overhead fan and air conditioning...

Recently, my sister and I needed one night's lodging in the Chester area -- had not made reservations, and it turned out to be race week in Chester and not a room to be had. Very wonderful young woman at Mahone Bay Visitor Centre assisted in the task of finding a room and the planets aligned for us when we...

We found the Mahone Bay B&B through Booking.com, and were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. The 100+ year old home is beautifully decorated (I loved the blue and white China everywhere) and Scott was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious with an attached bathroom, AC unit, TV and VERY comfortable bed. We enjoyed sitting out and having a...

This B&B is ideally located in the town centre. It is handy for local restaurants. The building is a lovely old house beautifully maintained. Scott and Elke are superb hosts. They are very willing to help with information about local attractions. Our room was very comfortable with an excellent shower. One of the high spots is the breakfast. Different items...
