I have returned to Kip and Kaboodle time and time again. It's the maritime hospitality that keeps me wanting more. The hosts at Kip and Kaboodle are wonderful and ever pleased to help guide your seaside adventures. There was too much to do for us to fit it all in over the week. But the best nights, spent in Mahone...

Greg has been a really superb host, not only a host but a fatherly figure to us two girls travelling. We booked a tour with Greg and he brought us around Nova Scotia. He was very sincere in his interactions with us, understanding, patient and put in all his effort, heart and soul into conducting the tour for us. Even...

I didn't expect much because no one is talking about southern Nova Scotia, but Mahone Bay, surroundings and especially Gregs - Kip & Kaboodle Hostel are the best thing to visit on the East Coast. Plenty of things to see and to do in the south. Perfect place to plan your day trips. Go for a hike, a bike ride...

This is a great find in this rather expensive area for budget travellers. The owner is really helpful with things to do and see in the area, and is genuinely interested in ensuring that the people staying get the most out of their time there. The beds are comfy, with sufficient room in the dorms. Also a lamp at each...

Very friendly owner who picked us up at Halifax and immediately started to show us around, for example where we can find a supermarket, a pub, a small beach and so on. We got lots of help in planning our days and had nice evenings at the fireplace. The atmosphere is more like that of a friendly shared flat with...

It was 3.30pm and I needed a bed for the night I rang the hostel and low and behold a New Zealand voice answered....an instant winner for a fellow kiwi. This hostel is a little gem, everybody I meet was so friendly and interesting and the location is great, in the hub of beautiful spots to be explored. I was...

I had a great stay here .. it was comfortable and clean and the hosts were friendly and easy-going. Bathrooms were spotless. I will stay again for sure if I am on the South Shore again. Really close to Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. Price can't be beat considering the location.

My partner and I stayed at Kiwikaboodle in the end of May for 2 nights. It was 'low season,' so we were the only guests there (at least for the first night). Kiwikaboodle is a nice little hostel just outside of Mahony Bay and in close proximity to Lunenburg. Our host Greg welcomed us with open arms and provided us...

I stayed two nights at this hostel which is 3 km from Mahone Bay and 7 km from Lunenburg. It certainly helps that this is a lovely part of Nova Scotia, so the good vibes are all around. Greg, who owns the place, is a friendly and accommodating host. He knows the area incredibly well and his enthusiasm for exploring...
