What a lovely property and our host was delightful. We stayed in the Emperor suite and it was a real treat. Breakfast was phenomenal. I would highly recommend. The room was very well appointed and we were supplied with ice and an ice bucket for chilling the wine I had brought. just a great experience overall

Upon arrival, seeing The Maple Inn from the outside you fee like you are in a movie set, it’s so adorable and incredibly maintained. Added bonus; seeing their solar panels, vegetable garden and fruit trees outside too.

When you get inside and meet Paul and his son Wilson, you instantly feel at home. The Maple Inn is so welcoming, cozy, and clean.

The fresh baked chocolate chip cookies next to your bed are the sweetest touch ever (and they are THE BEST!) “Bedtime snack/lunch” is such a Nova Scotia thing and I absolutely welcome delicious cookies as mine. A 3 course breakfast is included with your stay and let me just say, “Oh my God!”, it’s THAT good. The food is so fresh, flavourful and beautifully presented. I’ll take a Maple Inn recipe book, if one is ever created!

The history behind the Inn is documented in a book in each room and is so fascinating to read about. The Aitken’s family story is incredible as well. What amazing people who have been through so much and continue to serve people with genuine enthusiasm and kindness. Parsborro is lucky to have them!

Thank you Aitken family for welcoming us into your Inn and home. You made us feel so welcome. We will be back and make sure all our family and friends visit your beautiful Inn, too.

What a wonderful place to stay. The host was very friendly. I loved the Black Velvet Room I stayed in. It was beautifully decorated. The inn is close to one of the main streets where there is a brewery and a restaurant. The location provides easy access to Cape d’Or, Advocate Harbour and even the Joggins Fossil Cliffs. I had a great staycation in the area and this B&B made a wonderful base.

Also, breakfast was well done in these COVID times. The tables were clearly labelled with your room name so no need to stand and wait to be seated. The menu had 4 or 5 choices for a hot breakfast as well as another special. Cereal and yogurt were also offered if you prefer a more continental breakfast.

This is an awesome place to stay! We only had one night here as we were touring around Nova Scotia but would have stayed more given the chance. The new owners took over in 2020 and have gone to town to offer a unique experience. The three-course breakfast is yummy and stylish, as usual, there is tea and coffee 24/7 in the lobby along with popcorn which was different.

The rooms are all spotless and welcoming, with soft squidgy carpets, comfy beds, and cookies before bedtime...just can't fault it, and Paul and his team just add a touch of style you don't expect to see in a small town B&B.

Location wise the Fundy Geological museum is only a 5-minute walk away, while crossing the bridge check the aviation history. Partridge Island is a short drive away and is a good spot for a picnic, a small walk, and a bit of fossil hunting.

I would highly recommend you give The Maple Inn a try, it's a real gem of a find.

I have stayed here several times over the past 20 years and always look forward to coming back. This is an inn with a hint of Europe, scrupulously clean and always refreshed, showing no sign of wear or age. If you are enjoying the Bay of Fundy, this is a wonderful place to relax after a hike or a kayak tour. There is always coffee and tea available and a delicious substantial breakfast is included

I stayed in the Maple Inn for 2 nights during a work trip to the area and had a great experience. The location is in walking distance of many local amenities, and a quick drive to many more (including the many museums, hikes and beaches in the area). The public rooms and the room I stayed in were clean, cozy and pleasant to spend time in (with strong wi-fi everywhere, something that matters when you're on a work trip). I'm a chatty person, particularly when traveling alone, but I also like to have a bit of space when I travel and I felt the owners hit the perfect note, happy to chat and available when needed, but also respectful of my peace. It can be a hard balance but they've mastered it.

As others have mentioned the food could not be beat. The breakfasts I had were amazing, fun takes on old favourites (don't worry not too fun!) and my impression is they do their best to source as much as they can locally or grow things in their garden.

I was also glad to see that all appropriate covid-19 protocols were followed and they are clearly doing everything they can to keep staff and guests safe. Sad to have to mention it, but glad to give a good report.

One final note, the owners are new and still learning, but at this rate I'll be very excited to see how things get even better.

This is quite loterally the best place i have ever stayed, Paul the owner who is always smiling really welcomed us , I felt right at home . He even waited up late for us, to make sure we could get in, as we had a late arrival . He was such a gracious host, really lovley people. The Home, room and bathroom was impecably clean and very reasonably priced , beautifully decorated , with the heritage of the house on full display, comfortable , luxurious and cozy. He made a spectacular 3 course breakfast and coffee , with all fresh artisan local ingredients , like fresh fruit , fresh baked scones , bacon , local maple products . AMAZING !!! I would highly recommend it , so much more of a bucket list experience than a big chain hotel.

My husband and I stayed four nights in the Dyas Anniversary Suite in August. It is so beautifully appointed with original Austrian furniture from the time of Mozart - and fully functional - it's gorgeous! Exquisite textiles compliment the furniture. The suite has a lovely sitting room with sofa, glass top coffee table and end table. Perfect for using my laptop and planning our day excursions, which are many due to the great location. The breakfasts: Paul is a Master of Flavor! Each day begins with fresh home made scone with a fruit, nut or chocolate bits or trio of mini muffins with like flavors followed by a fresh cut multi fruit cup dressed in yoghurt and topped with a sprinkling of baked oat crunch. You'll be so happy at this point and then the main course duly arrives and can be a variation of eggs touched by fine herbs from the garden and a meat - Paul adds his own touch of flavor to the bacon ( heavenly) or maybe lemon and blueberry smooth and fluffy pancakes or maybe it's his signature Maple Leaf waffle with a delicate crisp on the outside and a warm delicious interior body. You will spend time guessing and hoping for the next mornings breakfast. Paul is the welcoming, down to earth consulate host. If you are a music lover you'll love knowing that your host is also a Composer, Conductor and Clinician who will be performing his own work at Carnegie Hall April 30th, 2023.
Treat yourself to a stay at The Maple Leaf and be spoiled by the very nice and very talented master of music and FLAVOR, Dr. Paul Aitken.

My husband and I stayed at this Inn a couple of weeks ago. The room was beautifully furnished & comfortable with complimentary homemade cookies. Bathroom was large & very clean. The included breakfast was delicious & served in fine dining fashion. The owners are very accommodating as I have mobility issues so they gave us a room on the main floor. Would love to stay there again

We spent two nights at the Maple Inn and it was fantastic! The Inn is very well kept and created a relaxing atmosphere that made you feel at home. Paul was very welcoming and full of information about the surrounding area. The breakfast's were made with care, using local ingredients, and were delicious. Highly recommend staying here!
