We stayed for two nights and it was nice. Bathrooms and rooms were clean and the location was perfect. It's located between the Cabot trail and Halifax. Free pool and some trails out back for walking. The view from the hill was great too! I'll definitely come back again!

We stayed one night while visiting and exploring the Cabot Trail. Perfect location. Not too far away. A couple stores and gas station just down the road. Room was very clean and beds were comfortable.

The Manager is very friendly and welcoming, sharing information on the motel and local places to eat. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean (although a little dated), and I appreciated having a fridge, microwave and kettle, and especially an efficient, and quiet air conditioner. I didn't use the swimming pool, but saw lots of guests using it, and all...

Thank you Linda for your great review :) I hope I didn't keep you too long talking about Cape Breton, lol, I do tend to get carried away ! The pool has been very busy this year indeed and you will have to come back some time and take advantage of it :) Thanks again and enjoy the rest of...

We stayed one night after arriving on the ferry. We checked in late and were happy to have a clean room to sleep in. Very pretty view and well cared for grounds. Friendly check in, nice people to do business with. There are a few restaurants close by and that is an added plus.

This place is great and run by folks who obviously love doing it. We were there 3 nights, traveling with our dog. The rooms are what you might expect but very well cared for. (A couple nearby rooms were being updated while we were there). The view of the lake is just as their website shows and the town itself...

Stopped here for one night and ended up staying for two. The staff was amazing, Christine and both cleaning staff were wonderful, helpful and truly good hearted people. Christine is the kind of person who makes you feel good about humanity. She made is feel as though we were home, I can't say enough about how wonderful she is. I...

Very friendly and helpful desk person. She shared everything she could think of to make our visit to Whycocomagh enjoyable. Sadly the weather was not good and there wasn't anything to do. Motel is basic although the king bed rooms had fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster (of all things). No hair dryer. We did laundry in what was a...

Thank you for your review of our Motel. It was such a pleasure meeting you and your friends the other day. Maybe someday there's a chance to come back either in the summer when the Ceildhs are in full swing, or in October during Celtic Colors(an entire week of concerts all over the Island :)) I do hope the weather...

We were trying to stay in smaller towns and find interesting activities. The Fair Isle fit the bill. Excellent pre-arrival communication, no problems on check in, simple but clean room where all amenities (power, plumbing, wifi) worked just fine. I see other reviews that speak to the pool (and the Fair Isle social media reports on it), but we weren't...

Thank you for your review. We too love our quiet little town of Whycocomagh and enjoy it's simplicity. There can be quite alot going on here at times in our local community halls but planning around such times is the key. A workshop at The Firehouse Ironworks is defintley a must. For the most part, we are blessed to have...

Dog friendly but very tired; this little motel is about 40km from causeway. Bathroom in desperate need to upkeep and new fixtures. Rooms were clean and larger than typical motel size. Proprietor and family were amazing! friendly, genuinely interested in my wellbeing. For the weary traveller needing a sleepover, this motel would work. Swimming Pool area well kept up but...
