First you will have to escuse my english, it is not my first langage !
We went to Owl's head during the 'ontario' march break (different from the Quebec one), we did not have a nice weather (it rained 3 days on 5)but noone could change it !!!
We rented a condo for 2, and it was really confortable and spacious (with a pull out bed in extra for guests). The kitchen was fully equiped (big fridge and oven), the cleaning service is changing the towels, garbage every day.
In every condo there is a 'real' wood cheminey and they provide you the wood.
The resort is direct on the tracks, and you do not have to take your car to access. Just go out and put your skies on, here you are.
The tracks are very well groomed. We never had to wait on the chair lifts.
The people are very nice, and in case somebody get sick, they reimbourse you the lift ticket for the day.
They have special packages for the sunday to friday really interesting . The ski lessons are at a really good price.
We are used to ski in Europe and we were really surprise of the good conditions we encounted.
We aready booked for next year. See you there !

Overall, Owl's Head is a really good resort for the price and does what it sets out to do well.
We stayed just after New Year on a week which started out with very little snow and in a winter which has been unusually mild - not ideal for skiing and it was probably as a result this that the place was fairly quiet. However, the main runs were open to start with and luckily temperatures dropped the first night so the snow cannons could significantly improve on the few inches of real snow, making conditions much better from then on. While skiing higher up the views across Lake Memphremagog are fantastic, the runs are fairly varied, the ski school is very reasonably priced and the private lessons we had were very useful. It's a medium sized resort, so even with all the runs open a 5 day stay is as much as I'd want, but there are other mountains nearby and you could mix in a few days of skiing elsewhere using Owl's Head as a base. Compared to skiing in Europe this place was cold, - 20 degrees! and there aren't any covered or high speed lifts - so you need to wrap up warm!

The resort has 1 cafeteria, 1 restaurant and 1 bar, equipment rental and a small shop with ski/board stuff.

We stayed in the Auberge - ski-in/ski-out accommodation where things were simple & well used, but also well designed and still working so I've no complaints. Our room was large, heated up quickly, had two comfortable double beds, a desk, en suite shower room and a good wi-fi connection. For entertainment there was the bar, air hockey and some board games in the main sitting area - but you had to make (or bring) your own entertainment - there aren't nearby streets of apres ski bars, but nothing you read will suggest otherwise so that's no surprise.

We expected distinctly average food as it was included in the ski package, but for dinner the food was actually really good (choice of 3 courses). Generally service was also great, staff were friendly and helpful, but there were quite a few signs reminding you to tip!

I would happily recommend Owl's Head and as long as you can amuse yourself a bit in the evening it's got what you need for a great little ski break.

Skiing conditions were great! Lots of snow, no lift lines, varied terrain.

Basic cafeteria and bar... no real Après Ski.

Meal included at the Auberge dining room was 5star!!! It was a an excellent three course meal, quality food, well prepared and great service!!!

Breakfast was very good in cafeteria, cook and cashier were very friendly!

Auberge accommodations are dated and basic but very clean. There are no TV's so be prepared for quiet night....unless your neighbours are loud!! Room has a nice balcony overlooking ski hill. The walls are very thin... can hear every conversation.

It was so convenient to be staying right on the hill!

The room renovations are very nice and the staff who work at the reception desk and housekeeping were great! However the customer service was horrendous. I wanted to upgrade my room for a pre-existing reservation. I was not able to get into contact with them to do so, so I went ahead and booked the upgraded room and paid a cancellation fee. I called and e-mailed them multiple times to ask for a refund on the cancellation fee considered I booked another room immediately and I could not get anyone to return my call or answer my e-mail before, during or after my stay. This was extremely disappointing as a returning customer. I can appreciate that this season was challenging with COVID but ignoring a paying customer is unacceptable.

This is one of our favourite places to ski, its quaint, not too big, great picturesque views, ski in ski out and never too crouded. It was a family run ski hill and we felt part of something, an affinity to the place. Three years ago we came and it was completely renovated, awesome job.

This time its changed, the family sold it to ? A corporation? Some rules and prices changed and many of the local regulars were not there.

There were not many guests overnight, we felt we were the only ones there some days. The restaurant stayed open for the two of us and on several nights we were the only diners. Bur the chefs and servers were there for us, even catering just for us and boy did they do a fantastic job, words cannot express how good it was.

Two of the days the mountain had to close because the weather was so cold it was Dangerous..(-45C with wind chill) but they stepped up and looked after us in every aspect.

Thankyou thankyou thankyou,

Go ski and stay here ( just not the week im there 🙃) we are looking forward to our next time we are able to have a week at OUR ski hill.

tell them i sent you 😁

The new rooms in the main Owl's Head chalet are great. Ski in-Ski out. There is no reception, so you have to plan your needs in advance. Moreover, an employee calls us in the week preceding the reservation in order to plan the stay e.g. reservation at the restaurant which is popular, need for an additional duvet etc... We had the family room with a king bed, a queen bed on the mezzanine and a sofa bed in the living room. The website could be more attractive and clearer in terms of description. That said, a flawless journey, where we notice that they have developed solutions to overcome the lack of staff on site. Well done!

Good: the food at the restaurant was very good. The views are stunning. The skiing was decent.

Bad: we stayed at the hotel room #214. Condo is fairly nice at first but then you realize it's not that great. There's a dead bug on the ceiling. Dead bugs behind the sofa (I took pictures). The fireplace? It's an electrical unit that does pretty flames and doesn't heat at all. Free WIFI? Not in room 214. Signal is too weak. I'm writing this in their lounge right now. Wifi is just a crappy antenna near the lounge in the 2nd floor atrium which the sofa there is missing a cushion. Want to sit on metal framework? Not enough parking, I had to park in the street. Roads not cleared; I couldn't climb panorama road to get to the restaurant on the first day. I have fwd car with snow tires. Make sure sure you use an awd SUV! We were over billed for our stay. They double billed us for our 3rd day lift tickets which we agreed upon when we reserved. I had to chase down Audrey in the main chalet to get the tickets after the hotel staff failed to "handle it" as they promised they would for 2 days. Employees are clueless and can't even fess up to making a mistake. Worse yet? They don't even try to fix their mistakes. We brought along a half bag of Chinese noodles to cook for lunch (condos have nice kitchens) which I left on the counter. Housekeeping threw it out. Who throws out a bag with 4 portions of noodles on the kitchen counter? Stupid. Like I said before: they didn't fess up or try to fix it! Skiing is nice for intermediate and expert skiers. My wife is beginner and says this is worse she's ever skied on. Chouette and Cindy's slip are not flat enough for beginners nor are they groomed properly. We were first on hill at 8:30 and beginner's slopes were awful. So if you're a beginner, ski somewhere else. If you're advanced, ski here but don't stay overnight. Not at the hotel and I hear the "auberge" (main chalet) is even older and worse (see other reviews).

I'm never coming back here!

Disappointed with cancellation policy due to French language barrier. Owner cancelled our trip before we arrived. Visitor policy way too restricted. Owner seemed to be paranoid of our visit. No flexibility at all.

We were very disappointed with the golf course...I think it's over rated because of the tourists....fairways were ok but the greens were in bad shape...add to this that we played the course in more than 5 hours because of 2 foursomes in front of us that were surely there more for the view , with no marshal on the field to push them, our experience was awful...we played Mont-Orford and Venise during this weekend and both were in better conditions than the Owl's Head...except for the view, not worth what we paid...

This is our 4th trip to Owl's Head in 6 years. We keep coming back because of the reasonable price, the ski instructions, the friendliness of the staff and the excellent skiing.

The apartment/hotel is basic accommodations, nothing fancy, but clean. The kitchen has the bare necessities. During the week, Owl's Head is empty, you will have the place to yourself. The weekends are busy. But even on a Saturday, you never have to wait on a lift line for long.

My children enjoy the lessons and the Thursday "races". The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The downside is teenagers could get bored. After skiing, there is not much to do and you are far away from any action. If you are bringing a teen, bring a friend and lots of stuff to do at night (we even bring our own VCR since there is none in the rooms).
