I booked a 1 night stay at this motel, which I cancelled by mistake while using Expedia Virtual Agent. The motel charged me the full price. Expedia called the motel twice trying to get the booking re-instated or the penalty cancelled or even just a credit for a future stay. The motel refused to do anything. I called as well, but was never able to reach anyone. I left a message, as advised and never got called. I will never book here again.

Needed a place to rest for my daughter and I during a COVID excursion. I was a little hesitant as I had no idea of cleanliness/sanitation processes. This place was top notch. Friendly staff and super clean. Plenty of parking for me and my big car hauler. Thank you for keeping us safe!

We drove all the way from Toronto to Mont-Tremblant for the family day long weekend ski trip, and the little motel is 5 hours away from home and 1 hour away to the destination. We arrived the motel quite late and the manager was still there waiting for us. He led us to our warm and cozy room and explained everything we need to know. The room is very clean, the size is good too. Breakfast is simple, but we got everything we want. Everything about the stay is out of our expectation.

Our daughter's wedding was held on a farm within the area and the Bel-Eau made our enjoyment of the wedding so much better by not adding any stress to our sleeping arrangements. Very friendly staff both for the check-in and daily continental breakfast. Rooms are very clean with easy access. Appreciated that our lack of conversation french wasn't a hinder or frowned upon. Lovey resort town, we'll need to come back to properly visit the area and its attractions.

This is a family owned motel typical of you find in Québec. We loved our stay there. Booking by telephone was simple, quick, and the owner was very polite. Upon check-in, we were greeted by a very nice lady. Again, no hassles, efficient. The room itself, a so-called “royal room” (chambre royale) was impeccably clean, same for the bed linen. Beds were extremely comfortable. The furniture is somewhat dated but in otherwise excellent condition. Mini-fridge, microwave. Nice view of the Ottawa river. Located on the main street of Montebello. Minutes from Chateau Montebello and Parc Omega. We would return without hesitation. Can’t go wrong, especially for the price.

I spent two nights at the Motel Bel Eau hile in Montebello for a wedding at the Chateau. The room was a good size and clean and had a small fridge and microwave. Bed was comfy but not luxurious. Front desk was helpful and friendly. All in all a good choice and good value for the money. Would recommend.

Stayed one night. place was easy to find and owner very friendly. Room was large, clean wood floors. Room had frig and microwave. Comfortable bed , liked that extra pillows and blanket were provided in room. Nice large bathroom though sink area was small. Overall good deal , considering the very expensive Fairmount down the road. Since we had early train in the morning, owner very accommodating in providing breakfast earlier for us. Location was along street with several food options. Small supermarket just down the street, though selection was somewhat limited. Parc Omega was less than 10 minutes away. Would definitely recommend this place!!

We stayed over night on Aug 10th after a long day of rafting. When we checked in reception was fantastic. Recommended things to see and do locally. We took a walk about and loved the recommended places. Room was cozy, bathroom was clean. Coffee in the rooms, mini fridge. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great place for a good night sleep

Non-branded roadside motels don't tend to have the best reputation, but this one deserves the plaudits other TripAdvisor reviewers have given it. There's a reason it's holding its own in the ratings against the Fairmont down the road, and that reason is great value for the money. Making the reservation was a somewhat difficult tango of e-mail responses, quite a bit different than the simple click and submit you get when dealing with chain hotels, but honestly that was the only difficult part of the process. When we were late arriving, the owner called and left a voicemail on my mobile phone, asking me to contact him and let him know what time I would be in so he could unlock the office for me and let us in our room. We pulled in at 11pm and he came right down, gave a quick rundown of the property in perfect English (not to be taken for granted in small Quebec communities, even those in the Outaouais), and propped open a side door so we could quietly and easily get our mountains of luggage into the room. That room was simple but well-appointed with the basics such as a microwave & mini-fridge, great wi-fi, and a TV with plenty of channels. It also had some nicer small touches, like clean wood floors throughout and cute French signs on the entry and bathroom doors. There was a distant view of the Ottawa River, as well as an above-ground pool that we didn't use. We also chose not to utilize breakfast as we felt the small amount of available food didn't justify the extra price. There are both interior-entry and exterior-entry rooms, as well as rooms that face the river and rooms that face the highway. If you book ahead of time, the owner is helpful to find a room matching your desires. Checkout was a no-fuss drop of the key at the front desk. Parking was limited but not problematic. Though we didn't get to do it, the highly-regarded Parc Omega is only 10 minutes up the road. Given the exorbitant prices at the Chateau Montebello, I can't imagine a simple overnight stop being a better value for the money than this property. The Motel Bel Eau would be my choice if passing through this area again.
