Friendly guide, nice site, great time shooting clays. They are flexible for you to bring your firearm and ammo if you want. Various target with flexible level of difficulties We had a really good time
This was our 5th stay at Kenauk, but the first time in Wilson chalet. It was the largest cabin we’ve ever had, and if anything we wondered if it might seem a little large for the four of us and not in the spirit of Kenauk with solar lighting and electricity. This was not the case at all. The cabin was spacious but perfect for our needs, with the added benefit of additional bathrooms (including one amazingly with a proper bath). Gone are the gas lights, in favour of solar powered LEDs, which saves a lot of scorched fingers! The ability to charge your phone etc, even if you cannot use it was useful. The cabin had two bedrooms downstairs, one with a king bed and one with a double/twin bunk. Upstairs was a loft with three singles. A huge living area downstairs and a seating area upstairs, in addition to the screened porch at the side gave us ample living space. The games area downstairs was nice for a late night game of pool, or if it had been rainy (which luckily it wasn’t). Outside at the front was a small firepit area that we didn’t use much as we couldn’t get the firepit lit, but the main deck at the back was so amazing we used this all the time for eating and lounging. It was really nice to have somewhere to sit at night but that wasn’t completely open to the strange rustlings in the undergrowth! The only issue was the BBQ which we couldn’t get to work fully. Down a flight of steps is the dock area with two single person kayaks, a canoe and three rowing boats. The canoe was by far our favourite and we wished there had been two as we had to take turns in going out two people at a time. My only suggestion for improvement would be the provision of a water dispenser as you don’t really want to drink the water as it has a weird smell, and it seems counter intuitive in a place like this to bring along a lot of water in single use plastic bottles. It broke my heart to have to decline the invitation to rebook for next year, but we are already planning a trip in 2024 for my 50th birthday! Every time we stay here, we wish we had stayed longer. Kenauk has always been a really special place for us, and somewhere we dream of when we are at home in the UK. This stay only made that feeling stronger.…
We were a large group of friends celebrating a 30th birthday over a weekend. We were staying at the Chalet Papineau, which easily accommodated everyone comfortably. The surrounding area was beautiful, and offered an amazing playground for running and dog walking. The kitchen facilities were great, allowing us to easily cook for a large group. The beautiful fireplace kept us warm and cozy. I definitely recommend this place for any large group gathering.
We rented out the Papineau cottage for a business Christmas party. We had food delivered directly to the location (Toqué). The experience was amazing! Everyone appreciated the party and the location. We will definitely repeat the experience.
I took my boy friend here as a surprise for his birthday .The staff were amazing so friendly and welcoming! We did the Skeet shooting and our guide was great he gave pointers and was very friendly . I would recommend going to anyone experienced or not such a fun way to spend the day outdoors in nature .My boyfriend said this was the best surprise ever and he can’t wait to come back .
Great remote location less than 1h30 away from Montreal. The chalet fit our large group without problems. Lots of activities are available near the chalets. The scenery is great. The staff is kind and helpful.
Incredible location at less than 1.5 hours from Montreal. The cabin was over our expectations with all the amenities one could ask for. The staff was very friendly and made it easy to enjoy the area. Will definitely come back next year
Beautiful chalet with amazing surroundings. Big kitchen to cook and common areas to relax. And very impressive electricty installations with the biggest solar panels I have ever seen. I hope I can go back soon
Don't bother unless you want to sit inside all day. Ridiculous. Scenery lovely from the window but we couldn't go on the water or walk anywhere and were not told this at time of booking but just a few days before arrival.
I was in Ottawa and heard great things about this sporting clays course so I drive here to try it. It was an absolutely beautiful course with realistic targets. The host was awesome and very knowledgeable. I will definitely be going back and will come back to try the fishing and chalets. The whole resort is absolutely beautiful!!
