Breathtakingly beautiful in a very natural setting overlooking the lake. Gorgeous gardens. Room very large with 2 queen beds and large bathroom. Plush bathrobes. As part of the stay, boarded an old converted school bus for a trip into the wilderness. Took half an hour on dirt roads before arriving at the bear spotting towers (bear blinds). So quiet especially... More

We stayed 2 nights, easy drive from Quebec City. The room was simple and modern, ground floor has terrasse which over looks the lake. What a gorgeous lake, surrounded by forests and very clean water. Great swimming and reasonable SUP and kayak rentals. Very helpful (english speaking) at front desk, restaurant and rentals. We enjoyed the buffett breakfasts (a little... More

Stayed here for one night during the summer but wish I could stay longer. Overall, the hotel lived up to all my expectations from a good resort with all the amenities and good atmosphere that instantly put you at ease. The rooms are clean and modern, food for the breakfast is tasty and widely varied, as well as for the... More

We had a first floor room which had a great view overlooking the lake. The room was nicely decorated and outfitted. Easy access but quiet. We booked a package with included a 4course meal for one night, glad it was just one night, too much food! The second night we ordered off the menu, Everything was perfect! Cute bar for... More

A great hotel in a lovely location just above the lake. Our room had everything you’d expect and was very comfortable. The restaurant was a little expensive but the food was extremely good, especially the range of options for breakfast. We only stayed 1 night which was a shame as it rained all the following day and we couldn’t enjoy... More

Our family of four stayed five nights in a one-bedroom suite in the Auberge. The resort is located beside a picturesque lake only a 40 min drive from Quebec City. The room: Our suite was a bit on the small side. We did have a lake view (as advertised) though it was somewhat obstructed by trees. The room was very... More

The rooms in the Auberge were nice, but a little basic. Good size. Comfortable beds. Very clean. Nice view of the lake. The food in the restaurant was ok, but not great. But this place wins on the best outdoor activities for families. Incredible hiking trails. A pretty lake with a small beach, canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards.... More

This hotel is a beautiful place to relax overlooking Lac Saint Joseph - the area offers lots of walks/hikes - long and short. The staff are very helpful - just appear when needed. The rooms are very accommodating and roomy. All rooms have a lake outlook. The food was great and plenty of it. Unfortunately only had two days one... More

Was at this hotel for two days for a workshop. Beautiful surrounds. Friendly staff. Excellent food, and they catered well to my vegan dietary needs. Comfortable room. Excellent places inside and out to discuss. Coffee (both brewed and espresso) are great. Lovely large lake nearby. The downside is spotty internet - evidently a small bandwidth problem. Two thumbs up.

Let's say I was surprised by this place. I've been at Duchesnay several times, but this is the first time staying at the auberge. Nice rooms, attentionate service. We had dinner and brunch at the auberge. It was very good. Well above expectations and to some places we had visited in 2013 that have good reputation. We also went to... More
