The pictures look amazing, it’s true. You’ll get some great shots for Instagram. And the staff are very nice. But... we arrived on a cold night and the heat didn’t work in any of the rooms in our building. They tried to give us -and many other guests- propane heaters rated for outdoor use only. The pool and jacuzzi on the back side of the property were empty and are lined with vinyl rather than properly poured concrete. The rooftop bar was flooded after rain since the floor isn’t graded right. The dinner was disappointing...menu is not Mexican food. The free breakfast was great. The road to get there from the little town was really flooded and we were thankful to have a Suburban. I’d be worried about driving a rental sedan after any kind of rain. This place could be cool, but they have a lot of improvements to make. Not worth more than $100 per night as-is. If you want fancy and pretty, go to Bruma.

Beautiful property -check out their garden! Nice people, great breakfast- continental breakfast is delicious and the other breakfast offerings on the menu were great. Dinner was ok. Rooms are minimal and cold. Our beds were made without comforters. One bed with only a fitted sheet and thin blanket. Sliding room doors do not close all the way and are very loud. The curtains in the room did not fit the length of the window thus leaving huge gaps on both ends allowing more cold air to get in. Propane heaters are provided however didn't cut it, we were freezing. Spa is not open, which is not listed anywhere on there website. After calling the hotel multiple times with no answer and no response to my email, we didn't find out the spa was closed until we arrived. The spa was the only reason we chose this hotel. Pool was open but dirty and Jacuzzi was broken. So other than their restaurant there wasn't anything available to us. Disappointing stay over all.

This is one elegant spot in Valle de Guadalupe! Absolutely "Instagrammable", from the decoration to the food and the drinks.
My favorite part was that it's close to one of my new favorite tasting rooms in the area called Mas Vino.
Great service, they deserve good tips for sure.

Worst hotel experience!!!
Do NOT stay here!!!!
It's a TOURIST TRAP!!
Stay somewhere else!
What you see in the website it's a lie!
You will be disappointed as soon as you get to the hotel.

First of all we got to the hotel and I had called the hotel 2 weeks before our reservation date to see if we could do an early check in and they said yes. We wanted to check in at 12 so that we could go do our wine tour at 1pm. When we tried to check in, we were told that they only had 1 room ready, and told them that they had promised to have 3 out 4 rooms ready by 12pm.
And then, at night right before going to bed, my sister complained about not having ANY water in her room, she mentioned that she couldn't flush the toilet, take a shower and brush her teeth. She had to go to my room to get all those things done. We let the receptionist know about the issue and they said that the guy from maintenance was already gone and he could go check on that tomorrow morning.
Worst part of our night was to realize that our heaters didn't work and we were all freezing all night. We didn't have any extra blankets and the night was super cold. We had to wear different layers of clothing to keep ourselves warm so you can imagine how uncomfortable it was to sleep like that.
Next morning we ALL wake up to find out that we don't have any water and electricity in any of the 4 rooms where we were staying. We all wanted to shower, brush our teeth and take a shower and none of us could do it.
We couldn't even charge our phones in the morning and get our makeup and hair done due to not having electricity.
It is unbelievable that we didn't have the essentials at the hotel! The power shutoff was a complete lie because they said it started that morning but in reality, we were already having issues the previous night. I'm sure this is a problem that happens often. It is a complete rip off and people should not be paying so much money to experience a "motel experience".
Overall the hotel is a complete disaster and it isn't ready to have guests. Construction is super cheap and it makes you feel like you are staying at a $30 dollar hotel, which I'm pretty sure a cheap motel would be a lot better than this hotel and have a warmer place for guests and the essentials such as water and electricity. People really need to stay away from this hotel, or at least be warned about all the issues.
We all left upset, mad and with no hopes of ever coming back to this place. I still can't believe I paid so much money to have such an unfortunate experience.

I stayed with 3 friends for New Years Eve, the room we stayed in (Pistache) was nice but after 3 calls to report that we didn’t have hot water, we were told by one of the handyman’s that it was the same in all rooms (less than 5 mins of hot water every couple of hours). The hotel complex probably is beautiful during the warm weather months but in the winter the only area you can enjoy is the main building for meals & snacks, and the terrace for the sunset. The pool was empty and most of the hotel was in either construction or landscaping reparations. The industrial style is a nice touch but there are many areas to be improved in service and installations (heater in the rooms for one).
In the check-out the clerk instead of cancel the guarantee fee, she charged it. After a month and 6 calls I was able to get a response on what happened. I’m still waiting for a refund on the guarantee fee.

1st I want to say the pictures don’t do it justice. We booked the hotel for our wedding guest and everyone loved their stay. The service from all the employees was excellent.
We’d send a WhatsApp message and housekeeping or room service was there right away. Maribel helped us plan this months in advance and she is helped us accommodate the 60+ plus for their delicious complementary breakfast. Now this was a meal not just a tiny continental you might be used to at other places.
We booked the apartment and it was extremely spacious. The hair and makeup team fit great to do 12 of us and we still had room for a brunch setup. The balcony is a great spot for couple and bridesmaids pics. I had booked this place without seeing it in person but I’m glad I did it was definitely the right choice.

This place is dirty. They haven’t done a deep cleaning to those rooms I would guess since it opened. The soups in bathroom were not new, towels were dirty and sheets were so dirty and stained. I don’t think they had changed them from previous guests. The toilet was disgusting like they hadn’t use soup on that thing ever. I couldn’t believe it! It looked like this place was opened 20 years ago. Maintenance certainly is not doing their job. I get the reclining concept, but for what they charged $600 for 2 nights ? They need to at least keep in clean and well maintained. Rooms are cold, I don’t know who designed this place but it’s not functional at all, for instance the way the doors open is soo unsafe and the cheap aluminum containers they used for sinks are huge and allow for water to not drain properly which is gross. The joke that pass as pool looks like it has never been drained. It’s stained! It’s all bad. The pretend to be a mezcal producer, but basically they just buy mezcal from an actual producer in Oaxaca. They charged you upfront full amount at checking so they can keep your money even if you have complaints which they know you will have . There is no room for changes or fixing their mistakes. All you get is we will talk to management or that’s how it is here. Do not waste your money.

I love valle de Guadalupe and all the hotels usually are amazing with great customer service. This place was the opposite. We had a reservation for 2 rooms. We showed up at around 12 to check in, they said our rooms were not ready but to come back later. After spending the day around the wine country we got back to hotel at around 10 pm to find out we only had 1 room even though we reserved and paid for 2. They didn’t care and the answer was well we usually over book so sorry. Till this day they haven’t reimbursed us for the other room. It’s sad because the property itself is really nice and has a ton of potential.

We booked this hotel after visiting their sister property in Oaxaca and were looking forward to eating at the restaurant and terrace they advertised on the website. Unfortunately, unlike the other higher end hotels in the area, this hotel is nearly inaccessible because of the muddy and flooded road that leads to it (they tried to hide this fact and provided no warning even though it appears to be common practice during this season). After arriving, they told us the restaurant was fully closed because the hotel was "low capacity" even though the website advertised it as open. The road is so bad that there is no way to leave after dark. We had to cancel two dinner reservations and had nothing to eat. On top of this, the staff was incompetent and unresponsive. They left us waiting in the lobby for 30 minutes when they said to come to the front desk, and when we asked if we could buy a bottle of wine, they charged us restaurant prices ($50 USD) even though it was available for $20 at the wine store across the street. After explaining our frustrations, they said they would follow up with a free stay and then never did. This was a birthday weekend trip, and despite how beautiful this area is, our experience was nearly ruined by our stay here. Even if the road were accessible, the restaurant were open, and the staff were professional, the rooms are dark, cold, and poorly designed. It's very bad value for money.

One of the worst customer service experiences in my life. They make you feel like you are nuisance for being there. We showed up and they told us they were closed, our driver had to go back and forth saying we had a reservation. That night we had to walk back to the front desk to ask them to turn on the heat since it was freezing in our place, this was met with many eye rolls. The following day we went to the front desk asking what to do if we couldnt call an uber (there are none in valle de guadelupe) she shook her head said thats what it is. We sat down to breakfast wondering how we were going to leave and the waiter mentioned the front desk should have names for a car service. So we went back to the front desk and asked again. She gave us the name, with no apology, we asked if there were any others and she said no. I have never met someone in the service industry so unwilling to help.
