The property is approx 45 to 50 minutes from Pv airport. We got an Uber with ease and just met across from airport for approx $35 USD. (Lookup PV airport Uber pickup video on YouTube to see specific location).
Check in was easy and golf cart took us & baggage to casa 5.
Service is top notch. Drinks and food easy to get while in ample loungers around pool or beach.
For instance, on loungers accessibility, we arrived to pool at noon one day and still got prime location loungers spot with umbrella for some sun shading. Not sure why others complaining in other reviews on this topic.
Pluses were bottled water, coffee pods, and ice brought to room in lightning speed. Never had problems with one call to address. Room did have a mini fridge and Nespresso coffee maker.
Breakfast was very good imo. We made use of $19 per person Diamond benefit and still were only out of pocket $5 USD per breakfast by ordering off menu. Top $19 picks included huevos rancheros, enchiladas de pollo, and egg white veggie frittata. Hot sauce was a nice add and it was 🔥!
Buffet was $39 but we only did one day of that.
At night, literally the place clears out so it's not high marks on night life if that's your desire. But quiet time in pool or hot tubs easy to come by & that suited our needs.
Staff super friendly and went out of way to help us with whatever items we needed to figure out. This includes the front desk staff.
One tip, we drank house water entire time and didn't get sick.you can save a few $ by not ordering bottled water.
We checked out local Bucerias and did by Uber approx 20 min away. Got some supplies there.
Ubers can be a bit sketchy so I did advanced schedule in the morning for a few hrs ahead to have better chance of getting one.
I did schedule return to airport this way and luckily was not a problem. Was $42 USD and 1 hr with some traffic on a Saturday. I scheduled 3 days in advance. Driver was approx 10 min late so build a time cushion if you use Ubers.
Tip here. Get other ride share apps the locals use on phone ahead of time. I believe didi and indrive are the preferred ones. Will have this for next time we go for sure.
We took Uber to El Barracuda , one of off property restaurants on beach. Approx 8 minutes away but down unpaved road. Food and ambiance were on point for us .
One unique touch, property has a falconer that commanders a falcon to chase away other birds so there is little to no birds to interrupt you at pool or during meals. Thank you falcon friend!
All in all, exceeded our expectations in both quality of property grounds and services! This makes our list as property to revisit!
If you are looking for a getaway, I totally recommend Conrad Punta de Mita for an “ inspired stay”.
We were offered a room by the ocean but opted for a suite where we could have a view of the whole resort. It was absolutely beautiful! Nothing beats sitting on a balcony in the evening, looking at the soft lights and the swimming pools, with the ocean gently lulling you to sleep in the background. In the room, the balconies opened wide and we enjoyed the fresh air that came in.
As far as location goes, there wasn't much reason to leave the hotel. But if you're looking to be a bit active, there are beautiful bike paths near the golf course! I highly recommend going for a ride in the area.
Overall, this hotel was the perfect getaway from the real world; it felt like we were in our own paradise.
I was not disappointed. We were upgraded to an ocean view suite with plunge pool and the accommodations were to die for. We’ve travelled quite a bit throughout Mexico and the Caribbean and this room was my favorite - excellent views, extremely spacious well laid out and the plunge pool as an extra plus. I have not slept that comfortably at a hotel in a long time.
As for the property itself, there was plenty of space across the 3 pool areas to spread out in Covid times. Hope one day we can come back with the adult pool swim up bar is open but we felt the pool staff was very friendly and the service was good (shoutout to Armando who kept the drinks flowing). Loved the lounge chairs they had in the water that allowed you to stay cool while sunbathing.
The lobby is gorgeous, Mesquite is great (both food and ambiance). Used the gym which had good facilities and equipment and everyone followed protocol wearing their mask inside. The coffee bar was perfect each morning when I, like a typical American, wanted an iced coffee.
The beach can be rough some days but it is much better to swim at the Conrad than it is by the St Regis or Four Seasons where it is much rockier. Also, completely safe area to walk down the beach towards the town of Litubu. One of the best services of the Conrad was the concierge which you were able to text. We went into town several times to go to dinner and it was always super easy to communicate with the concierge to arrange a taxi.
Overall, we had a great experience at the Conrad and would encourage anyone to check out this new property - and definitely splurge for the room upgrade into one of the buildings closest to the beach!
Rooms are beautiful designed with fantastic ocean front views. One morning having room service breakfast on my balcony we saw whales belly flopping onto the water. Andrea at reception really picked the best room for us. She was always cheerful and eager to help.
Tanya at the Spa was ever so welcoming and helpful. Our outdoor couples massage was heavenly in the artfully crafted tree branch cocoon.
The resort offers an adults only pool in addition to their infinity pool. Julio at the adults only Pool always maintained his genuine friendly demeanor and didn’t seize to ensure we were as comfortable as possible.
The beach bar offers the perfect location for sunset libations. Montserrat makes the best “Spirit” cocktails and is a great conversationalist.
The bellman Luis drove us all around the resort in the golf carts and made sure our car rental always had an ice cold water waiting for us.
Elliot the Chef Concierge gave us the best insider tips on how to make the most of Punta de Mita and local pueblos.
Make sure and ask for Santiago at Mesquite the ocean front restaurant. The manager Manuel and Chef Ignazio really made our last dinner there extra special. The wood burning oven turns out the tastiest dishes.
The team behind the Conrad Punta de Mita did an amazing job with the overall layout and beautiful design of the property. The grounds are immaculately maintained and polished.
They’ve chosen the perfect staff to match the aesthetics of the resort.
I look forward to returning time and time again.
Thank you Conrad as you have certainly set the standard for any Punta de Mita resort.
We opted for their transportation from the airport. They were waiting right outside as expected and the large SUv was sparkling clean and comfortable.
When we checked in, we were welcomed with a drink and friendly staff. I did not feel like we were treated any differently for having the voucher deal (which can sometimes happen at places). We were offered a discounted rate to upgrade to a corner ocean view suite with a dipping pool (200/night) which we decided to go for (and we’re so glad we did!) . The room was immaculately clean and was just as clean after every housekeeping or turndown service.
The grounds are gorgeous. There are 3 pools with plenty of open seating in both sun and shade, and a concierge helps you select a spot and sets up the loungers with towels (and even a beautiful flower was placed on our chairs because we were celebrating our anniversary). Music is appropriate and volume was perfect. The concierge even asked if volume was ok and would have adjusted it if not. Pool service was attentive and the food choices were perfect (and delicious). We got oysters and some tuna dishes which were all super fresh. For such a high class place, the prices were really reasonable too!
We ate dinner at both Mesquite and Codex. Both were fantastic (and again, pretty reasonable for what you get). At Mesquite we had snapper, steak, and bone marrow. All were amazing- especially the steak. At Codex, there was live music and they performed a traditional ceremony as we entered the reception area, putting a flower behind my ear. Breakfast was included in our voucher deal, and was a lovely buffet which also included a quesadilla station (with fresh made tortillas) an omelette station, and a chilaquillies station. Everything was fresh and clean/maintained. Mimosas were a little pricy at $15/each but juice and coffee were included (and the mimosas were good with fresh squeezed OJ).
Another thing that was a bit different (but convenient) was when you call a taxi, they add it to your room charge and it’s a much nicer luxe car.
Over all I give Conrad 5 out of 5 in all categories. I would love to return someday (although without the voucher it may be outside of our price point- especially since I would want the dipping pool suite again lol)
The breakfast is very nice. It turned to more of a buffet when the occupancy numbers went up, but it was still good. Great chef. Monday Mezcal and Taco night was really yummy. We enjoyed our ribeye at Mesquite restaurant, although it was a bit spendy. I’d still recommend it.
The beach was very nice. Good surf and long enough to walk.
Easy to walk down the beach 15 min to Litibu restaurant. Call ahead one day in advance to make a reservation.
Anyway, maybe some of the positive parts of our stay were due to COvid and low occupancy, but we loved our days at the Conrad!!
