Stayed here for 2 nights for the sole purpose of visiting Chichen Itza. Manuel in the reception was super helpful and friendly. Dorms were good although a bit hot at night. But for 120 pesos I can't complain. There was a nice area at the back to meet the other backpackers and the pool was a nice surprise.

Its a great place money wise, location wise even what you get for what you pay but don't count on the early morning breakfast that they promise. We stayed here two nights and had to leave early every morning to go to Chichen Itza and Coba little after 7. We were counting on having a breakfast and then leave but... More

We arrived in Valladolid on a stormy night, our first and second option for accommodation were unavailable. We were then recommended to call Hostal Fraile and very happy with stayed there. It's run by Edwin a local cheerful guy. Just as a side note - the dorm we stayed had no a/c but did have 2 large fans, Valladolid gets... More

Great little place. I had a private room which was spacious and met my needs fine. The hotel staff are full of helpful information on cenotes and Chichen Itcha. Good cooking facilities, basic breakfast but what you need - cereal/toast etc. Cute little pool in the sun too for relaxing - could do with soe seating around there though. WIFI... More

This is an excellent little hostel, we had a private room which was well maintained, clean and had a nice feeling about it. The staff here are very helpful, Manuel welcomed us with a map of the area and told us the best places to go. Very friendly. The little pool is refreshing in the heat and is also very... More

I spent a single night here and really enjoyed my stay. The property is located along a well kept, pretty street leading to one of the town's main attraction. The hostel was comfortable with all the facilities you'd expect. The staff were friendly and one of the guys took us for some cheap authentic dinner before having a few beers... More

Central location but quiet. Good breakfast and helpful staff and friendly owner, Victor. They seem to put people in the dorms at the front but we found them very cramped and hot and asked to be moved to the dorm at the back which felt roomier and fresher. There are mosquito blinds but gaps above the doors and I got... More

This hostel is in a prime location - close to everything! Dorms are a bit noisy - standard for large dorms. Bathroom was clean in the morning then by the end of the day, a bit smelly - standard for 12 people sharing one toilet and one bathroom with no ventilation. Staff could not do a better job. They are... More

At the end of an incredible year spent living in Mexico I came to visit Valladollid and stayed at Hostal del Fraile. I could not have asked for a better place to stay. The Hostal is a short walk from the bus terminal and collectivo points. It's surrounded by lots of places to eat and drink, with a beautiful square... More
