Good location, handy for the local villages and bypass. Room was modern and relatively clean, beds comfortable, minimal interaction with staff who were not unpleasant, nice atmosphere and plenty of space to park, wifi was a bit hit and miss.

So it's very sad to have to share this story for what is otherwise an ok gastro pub with rooms. I have a dash cam in my car and on a routine check recently watched a member of this Merlin Innkeepers Lodge staff coming out of the building rear staff entrance, walking over to my car and then spening a...

I drove straight from work and so didn't check in until 9.30pm I was greeted at the bar and informed I was the last to check in and placed in room 4. I paid at check in? When I went to my room at around 10.30, I had a couple of drinks with friends at the bar first, I was...

I stay here most weeks with work. Room 6 is in my opinion the best as it has a nice powerful shower. You need to check in before 11pm but other than that you can come and go as you please with fob access to the bedrooms after the pub is closed Room is spacious and location convenient for Handforth....

Stayed here for 4 nights whilst visiting family. Booked because we could get a large family room which we needed for our baby. Restaurant very nice and room functional but certainly not up to 4 star standard as advertised. - No full length mirror in bedroom despite there being many empty walls where it could have gone. - make up...

Stopped on the way home from shopping. A lovely presentable pub with helpful staff. The food was well presented and was very nice albeit a little expensive for what we had. We have been here previously and there is improvement from our last visit but this was a while ago.

Polite, check in, room was ok, not exactly spotless, but served its purpose for 1 night . For £94 you would expect something a little more than the budget offering, say from premier inn, but it didn't. If you have a business meeting locally, then it's worth considering,

This was the 2nd time we have stayed at the innkeepers lodge and again it didn't disappoint. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable. Both rooms have had beautiful bathrooms. Hairdryers in rooms. Part of the merlin pub where we love to have a couple of glasses of fizz. Lovely to sit outside in good weather. We paid extra for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled between Wilmslow and picturesque Alderley Edge, this elegant lodge gives you all the charm of a country hotel only 12 miles from Manchester.Dating back to the 1880s and dripping with original features and luxurious touches, it's amongst some of the most characterful accommodation in Cheshire. In fact, it was once one of the grandest private residences in wealthy Alderley Edge. Today it offers 10 comfy, modern rooms and a cosy pub and restaurant, where you can savour fresh, seasonal food in the warmth of a crackling open fire.Alderley Edge may boast the highest number of millionaires per square mile in the country, but there's much more to this pretty village than star watching. It's built upon a sandstone escarpment that overlooks the Cheshire Plain, where walkers will find many picturesque routes criss-crossing its beautiful scenery. The National Trust's Quarry Bank Mill and stylish Knutsford are also well worth a visit. ... more   less
