Went to the Sunday carvery and had a delicious meal. Thick slices of local juicy meat, fresh vegetables cooked in an interesting way. There is a lovely view from the conservatory. Great value. Good selection of beers - had a pint of Wincle, beautifully kept and lovely for a summer's afternoon.

The room we were given was very clean and the bed was very comfortable and had a good nights sleep, it was more than adequate. The management were very friendly and they were very welcoming with a good breakfast to finish off a nice stay.

As soon as we arrived Graham showed us to our rooms very efficiently. He was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were adequate and spotlessly clean. Good tea making facilities. We had to choose our evening meal beforehand a short while after checking in but that was not a problem. It was a nice menu and the food was very good....

From arriving to leaving hosts Barbara and Graham were so welcoming, friendly and helpful to make our stay an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend the pate and steak for your evening meal. Both sourced from a local butcher and superbly cooked.

The rooms however, are in need of improvement:- there were 2 plastic coat hangers, the kettle was directly under where the clothes hung, the shower was on a foot high plinth (not great when you're...

Booked this on a Groupon deal and like many reviews on here, we were warmly welcomed. The room was compact but clean and warm. There was tea and coffee making facilities and plenty of toiletries. My only gripe was the spare bed prevented me from getting ready in comfort as the mirror was over the bed with nowhere to sit...
