Me and my partner stayed here for a late valentines day treat, it is a lovely hotel to look at with good views. The staff where very friendly and helpful and the food was so fresh and tasty! Its not too far from Chester zoo and Oulton park so will certainly be staying here again!

Great hotel, warm friendly and helpful staff. Situated in a great location. It was my partners birthday and I had some decorations that I wanted to put in our room, the reception staff were very obliging. Excellent.

A great hotel in a great location. A lovely Tudor building. A nice view from my room. The room was well equiped and had everything I needed, nicely decorated and very cosey. Staff were nice and friendly. Would like to visit again.

We enjoyed an enjoyable one night stay. The hotel was very pleasant and is undergoing refurbishment at present but this does not detract from its character. The staff were attentive and helpful and although we did not have dinner, there was a wide ranging menu to chooses from.

Really can not fault this hotel the staff are very helpful, a special mention for Chris and Debbie who waited on at breakfast, which is buffet style, comprehensive and plentiful. We ate in the restaurant on Wednesday evening and have to say well done to the chef and staff. Excellent meal and service. Our room (10) was clean and well...

We visited the hotel as part of a Groupon deal. The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings with views of rolling hills to the front. The room was comfortable and a large size. Breakfast was by far the best I've had with the lady who worked the morning shift being funny, polite and well worth a chat to. We also...

We stayed here on a Thursday night for my partner's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a Very clean, quiet room on the first floor and enjoyed a great breakfast. They also offered doubles on local spirits at the bar for £3 between 5-8pm which was an added bonus. We needed to get a taxi to Tarporley for a...

Booked for afternoon tea. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment, and once completed it will look very good on the outside. Lovely gardens at the front. Inside we were up against a wedding party. The hotel could be lovely, but it was ever so slightly grubby and mis-matched in the lounge area where we sat. Plenty of staff milling around to...
