Place was nice and quiet and the view of the river and bridge is lovely. Easy entrance at night and although it doesn't look safe there is safe parking. This place is tucked away from any hustle and bustle but there's a chippy and off license just down the road. Place was clean and tidy, bed was reasonably comfy. Huge...

The Mersey Hotel There's not many pubs that have a river and two enormous bridges in the beer garden... But this has! It sits in the angle formed by the river Mersey/Manchester Ship Canal, the Runcorn rail and road bridges and the Trans Pennine Trail on the north,or Widnes, side of the river and would, years ago, have been bounded...

I have just spent 3 weeks at this hotel and found it to be great value for money. The owners took over the place a couple of years back and by all accounts, are putting the place back in order. Don't expect the Ritz, do expect a friendly welcome and your room to be cleaned daily with fresh towels. The...

A superb location, under the Runcorn Bridge overlooking the Mersey; surprisingly quiet, and excellent value. We arrived late on Friday evening, with the bar overflowing onto the street with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The landlord, Brad, is a perfect host, warm and outgoing and just enough attention to keep us all happy. Our rooms were plain, but clean, and...

Was visiting Liverpool for a few days and this place was ideal to stay in, a nice drive away from the city underneath the marvelous runcorn bridge. When we booked two rooms as mr and mrs under the same surname we were contacted by the owner to say he had a cancellation and we could have a double room for...

I was welcomed in the bar by one of the locals who was charming and gave me the run down on where to eat etc. Shirley behind the bar was very helpful and sorted out a room for me quickly. I was given room 14 which is a large double overlooking the Mersey river. The room was clean and came...

Stayed in hotel on 22nd Feb 14. I had very pleasant stay, the staff were great and friendly and so were the locals in the pub. Breakfast was ok as it was help yourself to cereal and toast, would of been great if they offered a cooked breakfast. The room I stayed in was clean but slightly tired, a lick...

Don't believe the pictures for this "hotel" it makes it look nicer than it is. the room had cobwebs on the ceiling, dirty stained carpet, broken toilet seat, a horrific dirty shower and a awful musty smell on sheets. When I didn't want to stay I was told no problem only to find out later they had still charged for...
