The minute we walked in was made to feel welcome by staff and customers,fantasic range of drinks at good prices,loved the old tables and benches the bottom of the tables looked like they was old sewing machines,this pub is well worth a visit, loved the open fire, avoid wednesdays nights as its they early closing, and the staff derserve the...

If you are in Alston and are in need of refreshment and a good natter then this is the place to be. A locals pub, usually has good crack and is very friendly, a well known place too visit in Alston, can be very busy at times.

The turks head is a quaint typical english country pub with great beers, however the food is good/bad depending on if you are a meat eater. I dined on a fabulous mixed grill but my wife who is a veggie could only find 1 thing without meat on the menu, mushroom surprise. It was just mushroom and cheese with a...
