My husband and I walked the Cumbria Way and were booked into Nook Farm on route. Nook Farm is a working farm, so we had the pleasure of seeing the sheep first hand as we approached the B&B. Inside, the house is furnished with lovely antiques and our room with bath was very comfortable. We had a excellent breakfast in...

We had to share the bathroom with the family which was not ideal. The room was big enough to put a ensuite in so could do with the upgrade. The deco was tired in the bedroom but in the lounge area was lovely.

Hello Alison , I am just confirming that I would have told you when you booked the room that it was a shared bathroom your original booking was for a double room ensuite on the 4th June but you rang to cancel that booking which was transferred to the 24th & 25th July but the ensuite double was not available...

This was our second stay and enjoyed it even more second-time round. Made to feel very much at home by our host, Good sized bedroom, clean throughout and very comfortable. Good breakfast with pleasant service. Very happy to have returned and would do so again.

Stayed at Nook Farm with my brother on our second night on the coast to coast route during June and loved it. The welcome was warm and our room spacious and comfortable and the breakfast spectacular! Be aware - this is a working farm with the sights, sounds and smells that go with it but a great and memorable place...

A lovely place to stay that was extremely homely, and convenient. We were very well looked after, and had a great breakfast. I would certainly look to stay there again, should I return again to the area.

Back for another stay at Nook Farm. We have stayed here so many times we have become very used to this place and they are very accommodating to our rather unique schedule and needs. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Carole. Unfortunately this trip Carole was gone but we were well taken care of by her daughter Sarah and...

Although we had nothing less than any of the other B and B''s we didn't enjoy our stay. Perhaps something to do with the decor or just the feel. We felt it missed the opportunity to embrace walkers specific needs eg not having anywhere to put your muddy boots. We resented paying the same price as the other B and...

Back again and welcomed with open arms by our lovely host Carole. Rosthwaite is such a lovely valley after the long and rather arduous walk from Ennerdale and emerging out of Honister Pass and the slate mine. New improvements since our last stay in September '14. Our room had a lovely tv and we had great internet reception. We love...

My goodness, there have been reviews all over the place for Nook Farm. Some of them have sounded like reviews of a different place than the Nook Farm we always stay at every year for years when we do the c2c. We have always found it a lovely, peaceful and comfortable place to stay and Carole, the hostess, could not...

On the coat2coast if we was not so desperate we would have left immediately, The hit of the smell when front door was opened was a smell I don't think I will ever get out of my nostrils as well as being told that they were not expecting us until after 4pm This was not exactly the response wanted after...

I would just like to thank you for this review and to explain my point of view . On returning home from shopping at around 1.30 pm I was greeted by someone lying on my sofa and said they had been upstairs to find there bedrooms I was not impressed after all this is my home as well and I...
